Wright Motorsports Petit Le Mans Podium Hopes Dashed in Final Hour Incident

BATAVIA, Ohio. (October 14, 2024) – Fresh off the high of securing the Fanatec GT World Challenge America championship title and winning the Indianapolis 8 Hour, Wright Motorsports entered Petit Le Mans with high expectations for a strong finish to the season. Unfortunately, their hopes of celebrating on the podium at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta were shattered in the final hour. An incident with less than one hour remaining in the ten-hour IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race sidelined the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R with terminal damage. The contact ended an impressive first season in the championship for drivers Adam Adelson and Elliott Skeer. (more…)

Magnus Racing Bids a Petite Farewell to 2024 at Petit Le Mans

It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that we were kicking off the 2024 race season at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, but here we are, coming into Petit Le Mans, ready to wrap up the year with the 10-hour endurance racing extravaganza. With two of our three drivers in the No. 44 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and our shop being Atlanta-based, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is a home track for us. We’re going to be putting in a not-so-petite effort in this weekend to finish the season on a high note for John Potter, Andy Lally, Spencer Pumpelly, and our entire team. (more…)

Wright Motorsports Confident for Strong IMSA Finale at Petit Le Mans

BRASELTON, Ga., (October 10, 2024) – The season finale for the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship is Saturday, October 12 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, and Wright Motorsports sweeps into the weekend riding high with two recent back-to-back wins. The team comes into Petit Le Mans as the most recent GTD class race winners in the WeatherTech Championship, and also just secured a class victory and championship title in the Fanatec GT World Challenge series. Montecalvo Ready To Conquer Season Finale At Petit Le Mans

Wednesday, September 28, 2022 – Highlands, NJ – Vasser Sullivan driver Frankie Montecalvo is ready to take on the final round of the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship – Petit Le Mans. Montecalvo will contest the ten-hour endurance race with co-drivers Aaron Telitz and Richard Heistand.

The race marks the 25^th Anniversary of the Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Montecalvo has scored multiple top-five finishes at Petit Le Mans and a third place in 2021 but has yet to bring home a win. That’s something he’s hoping to change this weekend. (more…)
