Sunday’s Atlanta 400 will mark Ryan Preece’s eighth NASCAR Cup Series start at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The best of his previous outings on the 1.54-mile oval was the most recent, a 16th-place result from the 20th starting position in March that also was best that day of the four Stewart-Haas Racing entries. Preece’s first four Atlanta starts came prior to the track’s old configuration, on which his best finish was 25th, earned twice – March 2021 and July 2021. Preece logged finishes of 28th and 24th in the March and July 2023 races, respectively, his first two outings on Atlanta’s current configuration. (more…)

HaasTooling.com Racing: Ryan Preece Darlington Advance

The Cook Out Southern 500 Sunday at Darlington (S.C.) Raceway will mark Ryan Preece’s 10th career NASCAR Cup Series start at the 1.366-mile oval and his fifth in the Southern 500. The driver of the No. 41 HaasTooling.com Ford Mustang Dark Horse for Stewart-Haas Racing has a best finish of 12th at Darlington, earned in the 2021 Southern 500. In his most recent Darlington start in May for the Goodyear 400, Preece finished 17th.

Preece has one Darlington start apiece in the NASCAR Xfinity Series and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. In his September 2016 Xfinity Series start, he qualified 22nd and finished 10th in a JD Motorsports entry. His Truck Series appearance came in May 2017 when he started 13th and finished seventh for David Gilliland Racing. (more…)

TRUEWERK Racing: Ryan Preece Daytona Advance

Ryan Preece comes to Daytona (Fla.) International Speedway for Saturday night’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 NASCAR Cup Series race with some wind in his sails after an 11th-place finish last Sunday at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn. United Rentals Racing: Ryan Preece Clash at the Coliseum

Ryan Preece kicks off his second season as driver of the No. 41 United Rentals Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR) with Sunday’s non-points Busch Light Clash at The Coliseum. The 33-year-old from Berlin, Connecticut, competed in the previous two Clash events held on the purpose-built, quarter-mile, asphalt oval inside the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, where he showcased his short-track prowess each year.

Ryan Preece: ‘(New Hampshire) has that home-track feel’

As a native New Englander, Ryan Preece spent plenty of summers visiting New Hampshire Motor Speedway. When NASCAR had its annual July race, he and his family would camp with his grandfather outside of Turn 1.

Preece remembers roaming the merchandise lots at the “Magic Mile” on a bicycle, hoping to one day get his shot on the track that he first visited when he was 7 years old. (more…)

LOUDON, N.H. – NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) driver and Berlin, Conn. native Ryan Preece traded in his firesuit for a pair of bib pants Tuesday as he learned what goes in to lobstering from Mike Flanigan, owner and captain of the Sally Rochelle out of Kittery, Maine.

“It was an experience,” said Preece. “I’ve never held a live lobster before, so it was a lot of fun, it was interesting, and I even got the buoy on the first try, so I’m pretty proud of that.” (more…)

THOMPSON, Conn. – Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park returned to oval track racing on Wednesday, September 14 and it was a familiar face in Victory Lane when the night was over. NASCAR National Series standout and former track champion Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT returned to Connecticut in his own No. 40 Modified and pulled away from the field in the final laps to score the $5,000 prize in the Tripoint Showdown 75.
