Northport, NY Feb. 3rd — As the off-season between 2021 & 2022 winds down, Sean Glennon of Northport is counting down the days to opening night at Riverhead Raceway Saturday, May 7th. That evening Glennon, 23 will make his debut with a new race team Benimax Racing of Miller Place owned by Stan Morabito. If the Benimax name sounds familiar it should as the organization won the previous two Crate Modified championships at Riverhead in 2020 and 2021.

The curtain will rise on the 72nd season of stock car racing and family entertainment at Riverhead Raceway Saturday evening May 7th it was announced by track owners Connie Partridge and Tom Gatz. DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Jan. 13, 2022) – New tracks are set to debut in the 13th season of the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series with drivers competing on virtual circuits that more closely mirror the NASCAR Cup Series schedule. Six tracks make a first-time appearance on the 19-race calendar, including the much-anticipated Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, which opens the season with an exhibition race on Tuesday, February 1. Two months later than originally planned, the 2021 champions of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series of Riverhead Raceway will be recognized Friday evening January 14th at The All Star of Riverhead. Seven divisional champions will receive their 2021 championship rings from Connie Partridge & Tom Gatz to complement the championship plaque and point fund check honoring their 2021 success. (more…)
If one of many on-line gambling sites were to list odds for the 5th annual East-West Marine Supply Islip 300 at Riverhead Raceway, JB Fortin’s name may have been somewhere in the middle of favorites to score the win. Sunday Fortin, 27 bet on himself during a late restart, making an impressive move to wrestle the lead away from Ryan Preece of Berlin, Ct. Fortin would survive two more restarts to score what some consider an upset win. The 300 was run one day later than scheduled due to severe weather Saturday that included a tornado to the southwest of the track. (more…)

2021 WMT championship runner-up Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, NY and Timmy Solomito of Islip, a 20-time career Tour Type Modified winner at Riverhead Raceway are the latest drivers to confirm their intentions on racing for the Islip 300 victory Saturday. With the Emerling and Solomito entries, 29 Tour Type Modified teams have expressed their intentions of racing in the $32,650 event that pays $7,000 to the race winner. (more…)
