NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship 4 (In Alphabetical Order)
Below is an in-depth look at the four drivers who have qualified for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Championship 4 and will race for the title at Phoenix Raceway in the Lucas Oil 150 on Friday night, Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. ET on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
“Lucky Seven” to contend for ARCA Menards Series West title
Seven drivers are mathematically eligible to win the ARCA Menards Series West championship this Saturday at 3 p.m. ET (Live on Trackpass on NBC Sports Gold, MRN and SiriusXM). And five of them are within six points of each other, meaning fans will need to stick around until the checkered flag flies to see who wins the title.
Three second generation racing personalities bearing iconic names will collaborate for a two car effort at the Islip 300 Tour Type Modified event Saturday November 13th at Riverhead Raceway. In the waning days of October Tommy Baldwin Jr. announced he’ll field two cars for the $7,000 to win race, naming Jimmy Blewett of Howell, NJ and Michael Christopher Jr. of Wolcott, Ct. as his drivers. No matter what he drives, Kyle Soper of Manorville knows how to do two things with a race car, win races and championships. For the third time in the past four seasons Kyle Soper brought home the Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified championship honors at Riverhead Raceway for car owner Wayne Anderson. The tandem hope to ride that championship momentum to a second victory in the Islip 300 Saturday November 13th. Kyle won the 2019 edition of the $7,000 to win Tour Type Modified extravaganza. (more…)
When defending Islip 300 race winner Ryan Preece of Berlin, Ct. walks through the gates of Riverhead Raceway Saturday November 13th to defend his 2020 race victory, a flood of emotions are bound to come over the popular driver. It will mark the first time that Ryan has strapped back into the Eddie & Connie Partridge owned Tour Type Modified since that fateful Friday night in Richmond, Virginia. Shortly after Preece’s win in the Virginia Is For Racing Lovers 150 WMT event, triumph turned to tragedy when car owner Eddie Partridge was stricken with a fatal heart attack after leaving the race track for the trip home. The 2021 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship trophy had barely found it’s place in the trophy case at Ken Massa Motorsports on Sunday when the team indicated they’d like to add another piece of hardware to the display…. the Islip 300 winners trophy and the $7,000 that goes along with it. Kyle Soper of Manorville celebrated his third Buzz Chew Chevrolet NASCAR Modified title in the past four seasons at Riverhead Raceway the only way he knows how, with a victory in the regular season finale. Soper, 25 came to the 50-lap event not only having secured the Riverhead title but also on Friday he was announced as the New York State champion in Division 1 of the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. Over the first 115-laps of the Miller Lite 200 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event at Riverhead Raceway Saturday a combination of Tom Rogers Jr. of Riverhead, Dave Brigati of Calverton and Kyle Soper of Manorville showed the way. For awhile it appeared Ed Brunnhoelzl Jr. who was the last Riverhead regular to win a WMT race in 1995 would witness that 26-year mark erased. Then the second half of the race unfolded with WMT championship contender Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, NY taking the lead on lap 116 from Soper to score the victory. (more…)
HOLTSVILLE, N.Y. — With just two races remaining in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship fight, Justin Bonsignore is returning home to Riverhead Raceway this weekend. The driver of the No. 51 Kenneth Massa Motorsports entry returns to his home track in New York, where he has eight Whelen Modified Tour wins in 20 starts. (more…)
