BRASELTON, Georgia – Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Customer Racing teams and Mercedes-AMG completed a perfect six-for-six IMSA GT Daytona (GTD) class 2024 championship sweep Saturday in the season-ending Motul Petit Le Mans at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. Winward Racing’s steady run to eighth place as the highest finishing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of the three competing in Saturday’s 10-hour race put the final touch on a dominating season for the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Mercedes-AMG that led the team, driver and manufacturer standings all year after a season-long performance that was the best overall in the four-class IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series. Magnus Racing Bids a Petite Farewell to 2024 at Petit Le Mans

It seems like it was just a few weeks ago that we were kicking off the 2024 race season at the Rolex 24 At Daytona, but here we are, coming into Petit Le Mans, ready to wrap up the year with the 10-hour endurance racing extravaganza. With two of our three drivers in the No. 44 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 and our shop being Atlanta-based, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta is a home track for us. We’re going to be putting in a not-so-petite effort in this weekend to finish the season on a high note for John Potter, Andy Lally, Spencer Pumpelly, and our entire team. (more…)

NASCAR Xfinity Series Elimination Time: Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course Up Next

The stakes are high for the NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff contenders as they head to the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course for the Drive for the Cure 250 presented by BlueCross & BlueShield of North Carolina on Saturday, October 12 at 4 p.m. ET (The CW, PRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio) – the first elimination race of the Playoff season.

This weekend’s race will be the seventh time the Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course has hosted a NASCAR Xfinity Series Playoff race (2018-2024). The Charlotte Road Course has occupied two spots on the postseason schedule – in 2018 and 2019, the Charlotte ROVAL hosted the second race in the Round of 12 and then from 2020 to 2024, the 2.28-mile road course hosted the Round of 12 elimination race (the third race in the Playoffs).

The team comes into Petit Le Mans as the most recent GTD class race winners in the WeatherTech Championship, and also just secured a class victory and championship title in the Fanatec GT World Challenge series. Mercedes-AMG Competitors Combine for Two Race Wins and Four More Podiums While Mercedes-AMG Secures Third-Consecutive GT America Manufacturer Championship

INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana – Mercedes-AMG clinched a third-straight GT America powered by AWS Manufacturer Championship to highlight a successful season-ending weekend of SRO America competition at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS) that included GT4 and GT2 race wins and a three-day haul of six total podium finishes. The half dozen visits to IMS victory lane included a pair of podium showings by Mercedes-AMG Performance Teams GruppeM Racing and Lone Star Racing. Sedgwick and PT Autosport Have Plenty to Play For at Road Atlanta

Flying Lizard Motorsports Awarded Crew of the Year, Rookie of the Year at SRO America Finale

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (October 8, 2024) – Sunday evening in Indianapolis at the SRO America end-of-the-year awards banquet, Flying Lizard Motorsports concluded their three-series championship efforts with the prestigious award of GT3 Crew of the Year, also with driver Damir Hot receiving the Rookie of the Year award.

“Running multiple cars in multiple classes made for an extremely busy 2024 season,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “Although we did not come away with a championship this year, we had multiple podiums and have great momentum as we go into the offseason.
