Joey Logano of Middletown, CT won the Cup race while Corey LaJoie came in 14th with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finishing 22nd. Corey LaJoie is the son of Norwalk, CT native Randy LaJoie who won two Xfinity Titles during his long career.
A.J. Allmendinger won the Xfinity race while Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT came in fifth with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT finishing 19th.  Next was Kyle Weatherman in 20th while Blair Perkins was 31st.  Weatherman and Perkins drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris Our and his daughter  Mary who live in Chatham, MA.

Kyle Larson won the Cup race while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came in eighth.  Not so fortunate were Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT who got 25th while Boston’s Kaz Grala came in 27th with Corey LaJoie being awarded 37th.  Corey is the son of Two-Time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before moving south.
Sam Mayer won the Xfinity race the previous day with Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT coming  in sixth while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT took 16th.  Not so fortunate was Blain Perkins who placed 33rd.  Perkins drives the entry owned by Cape Cod’s Chris and his daughter Mary Our who receive their mail in Chatham, MA.

Winward Racing’s steady run to eighth place as the highest finishing Mercedes-AMG GT3 of the three competing in Saturday’s 10-hour race put the final touch on a dominating season for the No. 57 Winward Racing Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Mercedes-AMG that led the team, driver and manufacturer standings all year after a season-long performance that was the best overall in the four-class IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship series. Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. won the Cup race while Corey LaJoie finished 18th with Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT placing 24th and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended up 33rd while Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT finished 35th.  Corey LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who served his racing apprenticeship while a resident of Norwalk, CT before moving South to NC.
Sammy Smith ended up having a great day in the Xfinity Series pulling off the win.  Stamford, CT’s Parker Kligerman came in 12th with Blair Perkins finishing 18th then there was Anthony Alfredo doing double duty coming in 29th.  Next was Kyle Weatherman in 31st. Perkins and Weatherman along with Alfredo are teammates in the three-car stable owned by Cape Cod’s Chris Our and his daughter who are residents of Chatham, MA.

Hudson, NH- Another beautiful day for racing graced the High Banks of Hudson Speedway for the 2nd to last points event of the season. While many drivers hoped to add to their points lead on the day or maybe even mathematically lock up their championship a week early while fans were treated to an action-packed day of racing. Tyler Leary, Andrew Morin, Steve Miller Sr., Brian Caswell, Mikayla Duval, and Andrew Harmon took home the winner’s hardware in their respective divisions.

Six Different Winners Highlight Race Of Champions Modified Series Heading Toward Race Of Champions Weekend & The VP Racing Fuels Race Of Champions 250

North East, Pa. – (September 9, 2024) – The Race of Champions Modified Series has had one of it’s most competitive seasons in history. Six different drivers have won races and 62 different driver’s have earned points as the Series heads into the biggest event of the season, the VP Racing Fuels 250 at Lake Erie Speedway in North East, PA.

Matt Hirschman of Northampton, PA; Jack Ely of Northampton, PA; Austin Kochenash of Danielsville, PA; Jake Lutz of Hamburg, NY; Ron Silk of Norwalk, CT; and Zane Zeiner of Bath, PA, who is the current series championship leader have all earned victories this season. Only Hirschman and Zeiner have visited victory lane multiple times. Hirschman’s victories came at Evans Mills (NY) Speedway and Mahoning Valley Speedway in Lehighton, PA, while Zeiner has swept the races at Chemung (NY) Speedrome.
