NASCAR Cup Series News & Notes – Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course
For the first time in the NASCAR Cup Series 72-year history, the series will compete at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course in the inaugural Verizon 200 at the Brickyard on August 15 at 1 p.m. ET on NBC, IMS and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course joins the Bristol Motor Speedway Dirt track and the Circuit of The Americas as the third different track the series has debuted at this season.
NASCAR Xfinity Series News & Notes – Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course
Youngster Ty Gibbs got it done again, taking home the victory in the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Watkins Glen International on Saturday. Gibbs, 18, led a race-high and career-best 43 of 82 laps and claimed his third win in 10 starts this season.
This weekend, the series heads to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course for the Pennzoil 150 at the Brickyard on Saturday, August 14 and 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN, IMS and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.

Stafford SK Modified Purse Increasing by $2,700 for North American Motor Car Senator’s Cup
(Stafford Springs, CT)—This Friday night, August 13, will see Stafford Speedway’s SK Modified® cars take part in their second extra distance event of the 2021 season in the North American Motor Car Senator’s Cup. The SK Modifieds® will race 50-laps instead of their customary 40-lap distance, and with the extra distance comes extra cash. 51st Forrest Rogers Memorial Offers $10k To Win For Modifieds This Saturday At Grandview
BECHTELSVILLE, PA AUGUST 10, 2021 . . . As a result of winning the Modified feature race last Saturday night at Grandview Speedway Craig Von Dohren has moved to within 19 points of Brett Kressley in the chase for the NASCAR T.P.Trailers Modified championship. Kressley, the point leader for much of the season, finished 15th in the feature race. Going into the $10,000 to win 51st Annual Forrest Rogers Memorial on Saturday, August 14th, Kressley, shooting for his first Modified championship, has 3803 points while Von Dohren, the defending champion looking for his 12th title has 3784 points. Third is held by Jared Umbenhauer with 3445 counters. Just five NASCAR point events remain on the 2021 schedule. (more…)

Big Names Ready for Rescheduled “Battle at the Bowl” on Sunday (Devil’s Bowl Speedway)
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Mother Nature can’t stop Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The third annual “Battle at the Bowl” Dirt Modified event was postponed a week by rain to Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m., but a little wet weather certainly did not dampen the spirit of the event.
