Mike Christopher Jr. Saves Tires to Dash for Cash Win on Sunoco World Series Friday

Thompson, CT — After heat race qualifying events set the night’s feature line-ups, the Thompson Late Models took on the Big-T for the final event in their 2024 track championship season. Ryan Morgan and champion hopeful Brian Tagg lined-up alongside one another to lead the Late Models to green with defending champ Nick Johnson holding a 13 point lead over Tagg following the heats. Morgan would get the jump on the dominant outside groove with Johnson in tow as Tagg fell under attack by Derek Gluchacki and Matt Lowinski-Loh. Gluchacki powered under Morgan to take third and set his sights on Johnson at the head of the pack, dueling lap after lap with three-wide racing behind them. (more…)

Kyle Steckly; Rette Jones Racing Ready to Win Again in Indiana

WINCHESTER, Ind: With two races remaining in the ASA STARS National Tour season, Kyle Steckly is hoping lady luck will strike twice, and his No. 30 Rette Jones Racing team can win again in the state of Indiana in Sunday’s legendary Winchester 400 at the historic Winchester (Ind.) Speedway.

Talladega Win for Stenhouse Mixes Up the Playoff Battle

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. found victory lane once again and threw the playoff battle into a tizzy. Combined with the huge wreck late in Stage 3, the Charlotte Roval will play an outsized role in determining the next round of the playoff picture.

Christopher Bell is safe but with Ross Chastain and Stenhouse each stealing a win in this Round of 12, the stakes for everyone else couldn’t be higher heading to The Roval. (more…)

Wolcott’s Marcel Gravel Takes Career Defining, Emotional Win in 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl

Barre, VT — Following the annual pomp and circumstance of the annual season ending classic, the brave drivers of the American-Canadian Tour took on the first of three Segments in the 62nd Vermont Milk Bowl presented by Northfield Savings Bank. Polesitter Gabe Brown jumped ahead to lead the pack early while collecting the first lap money of the event along with Marcel Gravel in second and Jimmy Hebert in third. Driving hard on the outside lane, Gravel launched to lead lap nine with Hebert and previous Milk Bowl winners Jason Corliss and Chris Pelkey in tow. A trio of mid-race, quick cycle cautions slowed the segment for heart-pounding restarts before Marcel Gravel claimed the opening segment win with Jason Corliss, Brown, Hebert and Pelkey rounding out the top five. Michael McDowell Returns to Talladega with Love’s RV Stop & Peak, Looking for Win

MOORESVILLE, N.C. (October 1, 2024) – Talladega Superspeedway plays host to the NASCAR Cup Series as Michael McDowell and the No. 34 team look to play Playoff spoiler this weekend.

Talladega has been a great track statistically for McDowell and Front Row Motorsports. For McDowell he has three Top-5s and four Top-10s in 27 starts, including a third-place finish in the fall of 2022 and a pole back in the spring race, leading 39 laps. For FRM, the organization has six Top-5s and 21 Top-10s, including a historic 1-2 finish with David Ragan and David Gilliand in the 2013 spring race. (more…)

Despite Dominating Bristol Win, Kyle Larson Isn’t Home-Free in Playoffs

That doesn’t mean, however, that there aren’t formidable hurdles Larson still has to cross if he hopes to claim a second NASCAR Cup Series championship.

Derek Griffith Charges to PASS Win at White Mountain

Derek Griffith charged to his second Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Model victory of 2024 on Saturday, passing Johnny Clark in the closing laps to win at White Mountain Motorsports Park.

After starting in the 14th position, Griffith fell back as far as 20th in the opening laps before beginning his march through the field. Griffith took the lead from Clark on lap 116 of the 150-lap Super Late Model feature, but Clark stayed within shouting distance the remainder of the way.

Redemption for Gabe Brown in Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Fall Foliage 200 Win at WMMP

N. Woodstock, NH — Twenty-nine American-Canadian Tour teams entered the pit area of White Mountain Motorsports Park on Saturday morning with twenty-eight able to take the green for the 46th running of the Fall Foliage 200 presented by Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. It was a Southern New Hampshire pair who led the field to green with former White Mountain Late Model Rookie of the Year Bryan Wall Jr. securing the pole position with a +3 earned in heat three alongside former ACT top freshman Erick Sands.

The two battled in the opening rounds of the 200-lap main event with Sands taking the upper hand to lead the way through lap 26 before Gabe Brown took over the point. Brown, coming off last Saturday’s successful Wall’s Ford Platinum Series triple crown title fight, utilized his knowledge of the track to stranglehold the lead through several quick-spin caution periods in the early goings. BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The 62^ndanniversary season of auto racing action at Grandview Speedway moves into the 54^th annual Freedom 76 race weekend, the biggest, most prestigious, and most lucrative racing of the year for competitors.

The Freedom 76 weekend begins this Friday, September 20 with the 11^th annual Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship race, along with qualifying events, plus practice time for Modified drivers wishing to participate in the Freedom 76.

Friday’s program will be known as Fans for Five Friday as the grandstand admission is just $5, while children ages 9 and under will be free of charge. Pit admission on Friday is $40, and no license is required. (more…)
