When racing gives you lemons, you make lemonade. That is exactly what Chris Turbush of Wading River did Saturday night at Riverhead Raceway capturing his first career NASCAR Modified victory in spectacular fashion. Turbush was penalized earlier in the race for rough driving after contact with another competitor. “Looking at the competition right now, you have to like Toyota’s chances. But look out, (Kevin) Harvick was second to (Denny) Hamlin in the spring race. If you doubt Harvick, you don’t know him very well.”
While Toyota didn’t do too badly in the race, the Ford of Kevin Harvick came to play. It seems just a few weeks ago many were wondering if Harvick could even make the playoffs. He was below the cut line and he hadn’t been very sporty.

WINCHESTER, N.H. – Rookie Nate Wenzel earned his first career NHSTRA Modified victory lap Saturday at Monadnock Speedway.
And while it was Wenzel who got to bask in victory lane, veteran hot shoe Ben Byrne used his night’s runner-up performance to pull even with Tyler Leary atop the points parade.

Barre, VT — On a hot and sticky night high atop Quarry Hill, the Thunder Road faithful returned for another stellar night of side-by-side stock car racing on Cody Chevrolet-Cadillac Night. In the end, Sam Caron grabbed his first Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tiger win of the season but it wasn’t enough to stop Derrick Calkins from taking the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Championship.
