When one grows up an aspiring race car driver on Long Island the ultimate goal is to win a NASCAR Modified event at Riverhead Raceway. Saturday night Chris Rogers of Patchogue attained that goal when he won the 50-lap Advanced Auto Parts Night event becoming the fifth Modified winner in five races to date in 2023. The annual Friday Night Special will be headlined by the return of the New England Supermodifed Series (NESS) and the return of the Myers Container Service Triple Crown Series for the Lenny’s Shoe & Apparel Flying Tigers.
If Friday night’s Hoosier Hundred had been a standard 100-lap affair, the closing scene very well might’ve been played out to a completely different ending for Bobby Santos.

N. Woodstock, NH — The 2023 racing season at White Mountain Motorsports Park officially began on Saturday with the 5th annual Spring Board 100 for the Wall’s Ford Platinum Late Model Series. Twenty-five Foley Oil & Propane Late Models from across the twin states of New Hampshire and Vermont converged to help get the 31st season of White Mountain started in style following last week’s unfortunate rainout. Along with the Late Models, the Flying Tigers, Strictly Stock Minis, Dwarf Cars and Kid’s Division also got their first taste of action for 2023. (more…)
