Pitkat and Matt Galko have both driven events for Stan Mertz Racing this year, with Pitkat finishing inside the top-10 in the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series race at Thunder Road Speedbowl in his only appearance of the season. Heading to Claremont, the team has high hopes of racing for the big prize in one of the most lucrative winning purses of the season for Modified racing in New England.

The team has multiple top-10 finishes so far in 2022.

“It will be great to have Woody back in the seat for this race,” team owner Stan Mertz said. “We have always run well at Claremont and we are looking forward to doing it again Friday night. This race is special to all of us because it is run by the Racing Guys. We are proud to support the event and hope to leave with the $15,000 prize.”

Friday’s race day schedule at Claremont includes the beginning of qualifying at 6:30 p.m., with feature racing to follow. Tickets will be available at the track. For those who can’t make it, the race will air live on RacingAmerica.TV with a PPV broadcast, worth $29.99.
