Lou Modestino Track Talk

Here’s the latest Track Talk column from journalist Lou Modestino, who covers local New England motorsports for us:

Abington’s Nick Lascoula had this to say about his racing efforts in the Super Late Model/Pro Stock racing as well as in the Legend Spec Racing Cars. “We are taking things for our racing team up to the next level. We are happy to announce we have added a new Fury Pro Stock/Super Late Model to the fleet and plan on renting it out at select races across the northeast this season!”   Nick got behind the wheel himself and finished 15th at the New England Classic at NHMS in Loudon, NH.

Ryan Kuhn of E. Bridgewater took on Lee’s (NH) USA Speedway’s best Pro Stock racers, leading wire-to-wire in a commanding performance in the 80-lap Pro Stock Open..
More Cruise Nights have been announced by the Pietro Family of Freetown.   Due to a carnival the next four events will take place at the Trinity Church on Sumner St. in Stoughton on 6/9.  Then it’s back to Canton starting Friday, 6/23 for the rest of the summer and fall seasons.
Also, the Connecting Rods of Scituate will be offering Friday afternoon Cruises starting on at 4 pm at Wal-Mart’s on Rt. 106 in Halifax. There’s the Cobb’s Corner Cruise starting at 4 pm to dusk every Tuesday.  Every Sunday from 7 am -10 am at the East Bay Grill in Plymouth has a Cruise organized by the Rebels and Rods Auto Club.
The Bay State Auto Club is already hard at work planning for its 50th Annual Car Show at the Endicott Estate on East St. in Dedham which is set for Sunday, July 9.  The event consists of the car show, a flea market and a Classic Cars For Sale Corral.  Last year’s show drew 1,300 vehicles. Several well-known guests are invited to that show.
