Chandler Smith – No. 81 Mobil 1 Toyota GR Supra – United Rentals 300 at Daytona International Speedway

Chandler Smith will make his inaugural start with Joe Gibbs Racing this weekend at Daytona International Speedway (DIS). Smith has several starts across NASCAR series the World Center of Racing. The young driver has two NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) starts and two NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) starts at the track. He also raced in the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Coke Zero Sugar 400 in 2023 and finished 15th.

  • ON THE PITBOX: Crew Chief Jeff Meendering will crew chief the No. 81 team in 2024. He has visited Victory Lane eight times as a NXS crew chief, most recently with Sammy Smith at Phoenix in March 2023. His teams have collected 59 top-five finishes, 124 top-10 finishes, and 12 pole positions under his leadership.

Denny Hamlin, Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, and Tony Stewart each raced JGR entries to victory lane in Daytona.
