ELKHART LAKE, Wis., (August 13, 2024) – The next rounds of the various SRO America championships continue this weekend in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin at Road America, and Flying Lizard Motorsports will represent several different GT4 and GT3 racing programs with their Aston Martin, Nissan, and BMW entries.
The team will compete in six races across the three-day race weekend, kicking it all off with the series parade and welcome party in town on Thursday, August 15th.
“We have quite a few adjustments in store for this weekend, from a new GT3 with the BMW for Elias and Andy to a scheduling conflict with Rodrigo,” said Program Manager Darren Law. “We will be putting Andy Lee in the Nissan GT4 with Damir Hot this weekend. Andy has so much time in the GT4 class and got two full days of testing at Road America a week ago, so we are ready. Jason Bell is really coming to grips with the GT3 platform, so I am excited to see his progress this weekend and Todd and Tom are right on the cusp of a podium finish. Road America is one of the iconic tracks in the US and we always love racing here.”

As previously announced earlier this week, the sole Flying Lizard Motorsports entry in the weekend headlining Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS underwent a manufacturer change. Elias Sabo opted to switch to the BMW M4 GT3 to finish out his season in the Pro-Am class with Andy Lee. It was a heavy undertaking to take on in the three weeks since the last race event, but the swap was successful and the team will be ready for this weekend’s pair of races.

Damir Hot also celebrated his first podium of the year at VIR, placing his Nissan Z GT4, earning two third-place finishes. Damir Hot and Rodrigo Baptista have proven themselves to be a well-fitted pairing in their Nissan Z GT4 in the Pirelli GT4 America series, earning their first podium finish at VIR together in just their second race weekend as a driving duo. This weekend, a scheduling conflict for Baptista will keep the Brazilian out of the car, so Lizard veteran Andy Lee will step to fill the seat. Lee will be doing double duty this weekend in both the GT3 category with Sabo as well as GT4. He’ll be sure to bring good energy and experience to this weekend’s races, eager to see how the Nissan performs at Road America. Todd Parriott and Tom Dyer will round out the team’s GT4 America entries. The pair came close to a set of top-five finishes at VIR, and will strive to lock in the strong results this weekend.
