JOE GIBBS RACING

JGR AT DAYTONA: Joe Gibbs Racing’s Xfinity Series program has made 128 cumulative starts across 26 years at Daytona International Speedway. In those starts, JGR drivers have tallied five wins, 34 top-fives, 55 top-10s, 795 laps led, and 10 poles. Tony Steward, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Matt Kenseth, and Ryan Truex have each taken a JGR entry to victory lane at the high-banked superspeedway.

LAST TIME IN DAYTONA: Last August, Joe Gibbs Racing completed a one-two finish in the Wawa 250 at Daytona with Ryan Truex taking home his third career victory and Chandler Smith finishing runner-up. With leadership from crew chief Tyler Allen, Truex came from the sixth starting position to lead 28 laps in his No. 20 Toyota GR Supra en route to his victory.

WILLIAM SAWALICH

No. 18 SoundGear Toyota GR Supra

TRIPLE DUTY AT DAYTONA: This weekend will be William Sawalich’s debut at Daytona International Speedway. Sawalich will run triple duty this weekend competing for both Joe Gibbs Racing and TRICON Garage. On Friday night, Sawalich will race for TRICON in the No. 1 SoundGear Toyota Tundra. The next day, Sawalich will compete in the ARCA Menards Series race in the No. 18 Starkey Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing, before climbing behind the wheel of his No. 18 SoundGear Toyota GR Supra to round out his weekend of racing.

ROOKIE SEASON: Sawalich will compete for Rookie of the Year in the Xfinity Series this year against a stacked class including teammate Taylor Gray, Carson Kvapil, Connor Zilisch, Christian Eckes, and more. Sawalich ran three Xfinity Series races in 2023 and earned the pole at Phoenix Raceway in the season finale.

ARCA EAST CHAMPION: Sawalich claimed his second-consecutive ARCA Menards Series East (AMSE) championship at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2024. Sawalich won seven AMSE races in the past two years with 15 top-five finishes on his way to winning two championships. In 2023, he became the first Minnesotan to win the series championship.

ON THE PITBOX: Sawalich will be paired with veteran crew chief Jeff Meendering for his rookie year. Meendering has visited Victory Lane 10 times as a NXS crew chief, most recently with Chandler Smith at Richmond in March 2024. His teams have collected 76 top-five finishes, 147 top-10 finishes, and 16 pole positions under his leadership.

JUSTIN BONSIGNORE

No. 19 M3 Technology Toyota GR Supra

BONSIGNORE AT DAYTONA: Daytona is a familiar track for Bonsignore, having previous racing experience during the 2024 season in the ARCA Menards Series season opener. Bonsignore secured himself a top 10 qualifying position starting the race before his night ended early due to unforeseen mechanical issues. This weekend will mark the New York native’s first Xfinity Series start at the speedway.

TAKING THE JUMP: Bonsignore enters the 2025 Xfinity Series season on a part-time schedule after leading a successful career in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour. Throughout a 19-year career in the series, the 37-year-old has scored 45 wins, 131 top-fives, 170 top-10s, 33 poles, and four championships, including last year’s NWMT title.

ON THE PITBOX: Crew Chief Seth Chavka will oversee the No.19 this season. Chavka is fresh off his rookie season as an Xfinity Series crew chief during which he worked with multiple drivers including Bonsignore, Aric Almirola, Taylor Gray, Brett Moffitt Josh Bilicki, Joe Graf Jr., Ty Gibbs, and William Sawalich. Throughout the year, Chavka earned three top-fives, seven top-10s, two poles, and his first career win with Almirola at Kansas last season.

BRANDON JONES

No. 20 Swiffer/Menards Toyota GR Supra

JONES RETURNS TO JGR: Brandon Jones returns to Joe Gibbs Racing’s Xfinity Series program for the 2025 season after spending the past two seasons with JR Motorsports. Jones previously raced for JGR beginning in 2018 and ran through the 2022 season, tallying five wins, 35 top-fives, 74 top-10s, seven poles, and 765 laps led in 155 starts. Jones had his career-best year with JGR in 2020, as he scored three wins, 10 top-fives, and 19 top-10s en route to a sixth-place finish in the championship standings.

JONES AT DAYTONA: In Jones’ 18 career starts at Daytona International Speedway, the 27-year-old driver has scored two top-fives, five top-10s, and 12 laps led, to go along with an average finish of 19.6. Jones’ career-best finish at the two-and-a-half-mile superspeedway came in 2019 when he finished third in a Joe Gibbs Racing entry.

2024 SEASON RECAP: Jones ran full-time in the No. 9 entry for JR Motorsports last season. In 33 starts, the Atlanta native scored one top-five, eight top-10s, four poles, and 45 laps led. Jones ultimately missed the playoffs and finished 14th in the season driver standings.

ON THE PITBOX: Jones will work with sophomore crew chief, Sam McAulay, for the 2025 Xfinity Series season. In McAulay’s first season atop the pit box, the young crew chief led Sheldon Creed to 16 top-fives, 23 top-10s, two poles, and a sixth-place finish in the championship standings. McAulay is an established mind at JGR. He joined the organization in 2007 and worked his way up the ranks from intern to lead race engineer for the No. 11 Cup Series entry of Denny Hamlin. Since the start of his tenure on the No. 11 in 2017, McAulay has contributed to 25 victories, including three Daytona 500 wins.

MENARDS: Menards will continue their longstanding partnership with Jones throughout the 2025 season. Beginning with Jones’ first career Xfinity Series start in 2015, Menards and Jones will now enter their 11th year together. TAYLOR GRAY

No. 54 Operation 300 Toyota GR Supra

FULL-TIME IN 2025: Last October, Joe Gibbs Racing announced that Taylor Gray will pilot the No. 54 Toyota GR Supra full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2025.

2024 XFINITY RESULTS: Gray made an instant impact with a career-best third-place finish in his Xfinity Series debut at Richmond Raceway last March. Overall, he posted two top-five finishes and three top-10s in 13 starts.

GRAY AT DAYTONA: The 19-year-old driver started 12th and finished 19th in his lone NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series start at Daytona International Speedway after being collected in a multi-truck accident late in the race.

TRUCK SERIES: The Denver, North Carolina, native competed full-time in the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series last season for Tricon Garage. In 23 starts, Gray recorded eight top-five finishes and 14 top-10s on the way to finishing sixth in the final standings. He ended the season with four consecutive top-10 finishes.

CREW CHIEF: Veteran crew chief Jason Ratcliff will oversee the No. 54 Xfinity Series team this season. Ratcliff is the winningest crew chief in Xfinity Series history with 57 victories. In his career, Ratcliff has led multiple drivers to victory lane, including Christopher Bell, Kyle Busch, Ty Gibbs, David Green, Denny Hamlin, Jamie McMurray, and Ryan Truex.

OPERATION 300: The No. 54 Toyota will feature Operation 300 for Saturday’s Xfinity Series race at Daytona International Speedway. Operation 300 is a registered 501(c)3 not for profit organization that hosts weekend-long adventure camps for children who have lost a parent as a result of military service.
