August 12, 2025 Springfield, IL-Centralia’s Joe Cooksey, a long time ARCA Menards Series competitor, has teamed with Morris, Illinois owner/driver to return to ARCA dirt track competition in the Allen Crowe 100 Sunday at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Joe has 145 ARCA starts in a 19-year ARCA career including a pole position in 200 on the DuQuoin “Magic Mile”.

Clubb Racing has managed to overcome a number of challenges in the 2025 ARCA racing season, including a hauler accident that occurred while returning from a recent ARCA event. Owner/driver Alex Clubb currently sits sixth in the ARCA Menards Series point standings with one top ten finish.
Joe Cooksey has numerous starts on the dirt miles of Illinois. His first start at Springfield was in 1995, and his last start was in 2018. In 16 starts at the Illinois State Fairgrounds, Joe has 7 top ten finishes and completed 1401 miles. His best finish in the Allen Crowe 100 was third in 2000 and again in 2005. He also has 17 starts at DuQuoin the last coming in 2022 with 15 top ten finishes at DuQuoin.
A popular competitor from Illinois Cooksey returns to ARCA competition and the dirt miles of Illinois on Sunday in the 62nd Allen Crowe 100.
It’s all part of a huge weekend of racing in Central Illinois that opens on Friday, August 15 with MOWA Sprint cars at Lincoln Speedway before going to the Springfield Mile on Saturday, August 16 for USAC Silver Crown and Sportsman and then returning Sunday, August 17 for the ARCA Menards Series and the Sportsman Nationals.
