WALPOLE, N.H. – In the final three weeks leading up to the Granite State Pro Stock Series championship finale, Friday night’s Keen Parts 150 at Lee USA Speedway may be the wildcard of wildcards.

The GSPSS’ second stop of 2025 at “New Hampshire’s Center of Speed” falls on the eve of New England’s NASCAR weekend at nearby New Hampshire Motor Speedway, and one of NASCAR’s top stars is returning to Lee to handle some unfinished business.

A staple GSPSS venue since 2014, Lee has a rich history of welcoming barnstorming national stars to challenge its Pro Stock regulars in the earliest days of NASCAR’s big-league New England presence.

Friday’s 150-lap, $10,000-to-win spectacle recalls the barnstorming era with a current NASCAR star set to wage war against the GSPSS championship contenders and a smattering of New England’s top Pro Stock racers.

Entered in a car fielded by former NASCAR team owner Archie St. Hilaire, NASCAR Cup Series playoff competitor Tyler Reddick is making his GSPSS return. In his first-ever pavement Pro Stock start in 2022, the Corning, California, star came within feet of stealing a win from the locals. Reddick is back to do one position better before he sets off in search of his first Cup win of the season on Sunday.

Like last time, though, a Reddick victory is hardly guaranteed with a hungry field of competitors vying to keep the trophy local.

GSPSS points leader Cole Robie celebrated his 17th birthday on Wednesday, and the Windham, Maine, ace would love to cap off his birthday week in victory lane. A win at Lee would open up more breathing room over Evan Beaulieu, who sits solidly in the runner-up slot after scoring his second win of 2025 in a clean sweep of Speedway 95’s GSPSS dates. Beaulieu is still chasing redemption after July’s hard crash at Lee, but the Durham, Maine, veteran has yet to find winning speed around the coastal oval.

New Hampshire’s Casey Call nipped Reddick at the line to win the 2022 Keen Parts 150, and a win would get the reigning GSPSS champion back into the title discussion. Cory Casagrande is just outside the points race, but the Nutmeg State native has victory on his mind as he returns to one of his favorite tracks.

Derek Griffith has not competed in a GSPSS race since 2023, but the 2015 series champion will return for another shot at glory at the track where he won the inaugural Freedom 300 back in 2020. Griffith will get another chance to square off against Joey Doiron, who won July’s Iron Sight 125 at Lee.

Also making his return at Lee is 2020 champ Joey Polewarczyk, whose GSPSS effort has been on pause since a mid-July wreck at Claremont Motorsports Park. “Joey Pole” won at Lee in his second-ever series start in 2014, but has not returned to victory lane at the track since.

Wayne Helliwell, Jr. has countless track championships at Lee, and the season-opener winner will be a threat once again at his home track. Eddie MacDonald also has a claim to calling Lee his home track. “The Outlaw” from Rowley, Massachusetts, will be back in action at the speedway his parents operated for decades.

Defending Keen Parts 150 winner and Lee Pro Stock champ Brandon Barker has a handful of wins at the track, and will be in a team car to Reddick. NASCAR spotter Derek Kneeland and cousin Rusty Poland have a pair of quick entries from their Windham, Maine, shop.

Three-time GSPSS winner Corey Bubar has won twice at Lee in recent years. The former Beech Ridge Motor Speedway regular would love to give car owner and fabricator Alan Berry his third win of the season. Joining Bubar are fellow GSPSS winners Garrett Hall, Josh St. Clair, and Dave Farrington, Jr. in their shared search for another checkered flag.

Angelo Belsito hails from Massachusetts and hopes to pick up his first GSPSS win since 2021, with Alex Quarterley making his own trek from Massachusetts’ Pioneer Valley. Late Model standout Tom Carey III debuted his Pro Stock at Monadnock Speedway and will try to improve on his run. Rhode Island’s Mike Mitchell is back in Rollie Lindblad’s familiar yellow Ford.

New Hampshire racers Dan Winter and Frankie Eldredge are back with the series for the first time since July’s Lee feature, and Connor McDougal’s Pro Stock education continues at a track close to his Granite State home. Vermonter Cam Curtis has been getting the hang of his Pro Stock and will be gunning for another top ten performance.

With the season-long specialists battling for points and the outside invaders looking for glory, two storylines are set to unfold on Friday. Plenty is at stake in what could be the biggest race of the GSPSS season so far!

Lee USA Speedway welcomes the Granite State Pro Stock Series to Friday evening’s Cup Weekend Kickoff. Grandstands open at 3:00pm with a post time of 7:00pm. The GSPSS Keen Parts 150 tops an evening card featuring Lee’s own Super Streets, Ridge Runners, and Crown Vics. General admission tickets are $25, children 11-15, seniors and military tickets are just $20, and kids under 10 are free.
