DECK Leadership Training Begins for AEVR Pit Crew
AE Victory Racing announced earlier this month a new partnership with D.E.C.K. Leadership led by NASCAR pit crew champion Mike Metcalf Jr. to implement the Drive for Wellness Program, which launched in August. The initiative focuses on both the physical and mental well-being of team members, ensuring that speed and sustainability are built from the inside out. Led by Erin Vogel, this commitment brings yet another added layer of development and training to the organization, expanding beyond driver growth to include the pit crew as well. Just last week, the crew began working directly with Metcalf to set goals and start training.
Shift Up Now Continues Unwavering Support for AEVR
In its ongoing commitment to spotlight female drivers, Shift Up Now continues to showcase the achievements of AE Victory Racing. In August, Sarah Montgomery was featured in the organization’s “Meet the Driver” segment, and following the Utah races, Alana Carter will appear in the upcoming Inside Track Fan Forum presented by privé on September 29 at 8 PM ET. The forum will be moderated by CEO Pippa Mann, a constant ally in the paddock. Team Owner Erin Vogel, who also serves on the board of the Shift Up Now Foundation, will take part in a panel at the organization’s annual fundraising event, A Night with The Shift Up Now Foundation, presented by PenFed Credit Union & Tom Wood Porsche, on October 25.
DRIVER QUOTES:
Alana Carter
“I’m super excited to come back to this track, I was here once in 2023 with the Scalar Performance SCR1 electric car so it was a very different experience and we used a different section of the course so it will be somewhat familiar but also new. It feels like it’s been far too long since Atlanta and I can’t wait to be back with my AEVR teammates.”
Sarah Montgomery
“I have never raced at Burt Brothers Motorpark so I’m looking forward to the challenge of an unfamiliar track. I think we are set up for a strong running with the momentum we gained in Atlanta”
Ashley Freiberg
“I can’t wait to get back on track with AE Victory Racing! I have not driven this track before and I look forward to learning something new. We had such a strong race together as a team and I’m excited to continue growing and shooting for that top step together.”
