BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway will present the longest race of the season for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman, with the 56th annual running of the Firecracker 40 this Saturday night.
The race program on Saturday, July 11, part of the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts, will see the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman competing in the 56th annual Firecracker 40 Championship race, along with qualifying events and a heat winner’s Cash Dash sponsored by Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate paying $500 to win!
The program will also include the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds plus qualifying events leading to the 40-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman Championship paying $2000 to win and the 30-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature.
Adult grandstand admission is $25, students 10-15 with ID are $12, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm. The rain date if needed for the Firecracker 40 is Saturday, July 18.

Once again Grandview Speedway’s official Track Photographer Steve Sabo, owner of SDS Racing Photography, has posted a bonus of $400 to the winner of the Firecracker 40, bringing the total to $2400 for the win in the Championship race!
SDS Racing Photography has a photo booth set up at the track each week so fans and drivers can pick up the latest pictures from the weekly action at Grandview Speedway in addition to driver stickers, pins, magnets, and more! In addition to the racing action this Saturday night, prior to the racing program will be the weekly meet and greet, presented by Low Down Entertainment and hosted by Brittany Huber and Jennifer Umbenhauer. This week’s Meet & Greet will be Ladies Night sponsored by Wheelwoman Boutique and include Sportsman drivers Kaitlyn Bailey, Adrianna Delliponti, Taylor Kramer, and Shannon Slaughter.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area of the grandstand from 5 to 6 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers in person, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway. Also included in the Meet & Greet will be Little Miss Grandview Alaina Steigerwalt with crayons and coloring pages for the kids!
Low Down Entertainment will also be giving away another mini check to a randomly selected lucky youngster. A kid’s admission ticket will be picked & the winner gets to come to Victory Lane for pictures and to meet the race winner. They also receive a free 8 X 10 of the Victory Lane picture.
Saturday’s race program will also be recorded and produced by ATVN-TV. The Astound TV Network (ATVN) will be recording the race events on Saturday, with the race event broadcast to be shown on a tape-delayed basis. The heat races will be a complete program shown on the following Tuesday night at 7:30 pm. The features will air the following Friday evening at 7 pm. with further replays to follow.
Saturday’s program will also feature another fan favorite Trivia night, where fans can win prizes after correctly answering questions about Grandview Speedway racing.
With the 56th annual running of the Firecracker 40 this Saturday, this Championship race was previously run for the Late Model division from the inception of the race in 1971 until the Late Model class was discontinued after the 2018 season.
Following the creation of the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division in 2012 through 2018, the Sportsman participated in their own 40-lap Championship race known as the Summer Splash 40 with the following drivers scoring the wins – Kyle Borror (2012), Jared Umbenhauer (2013, 2014), Mike Lisowski (2015), Paul Kline (2016), Craig Whitmoyer (2017), and Nathan Mohr (2018).
Starting with the 2019 season the Firecracker 40 was then switched to the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division, which has yet to see a repeat winner since then, with the following drivers scoring the Championship race win – Brad Brightbill (2019), Brad Arnold (2020), Brian Hirthler (2021), Keith Brightbill (2022), Addison Meitzler (2023), Jesse Landis (2024), and Joey Vaccaro (2025).
Heading into the Firecracker 40, the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division has seen seven different winners this season, with Brad Brightbill scoring two wins on the season, with Bryce Bashore, Mike Toth, Mark Mohr, Jesse Landis, Decker Swinehart, and Johnny Fugelo all with one feature victory.
Other top point drivers who will be looking for the Championship race win includes Colin Cox, Addison Meitzler, Joe Toth, Jimmy Leiby, Matthew Laubach, Brett Grim, Joey Vaccaro, Teague Miller, Dakota Kohler along with over three dozen drivers looking for a Grandview feature win.
Heading into this Saturday night’s program there have been eight different winners in the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified division with Louden Reimert leading the way with three feature wins, while Jeff Strunk has two (including a Thunder on the Hill series win) while Jared Umbenhauer, Duane Howard, Ryan Watt, Anthony Perrego, Tim Buckwalter and Billy Pauch Jr. (Thunder Series win) all have a single victory heading into this Saturday night.
Top point drivers also in action on Saturday night will be Eddie Strada, Logan Watt, Rick Laubach, Mike Gular, Craig Von Dohren, Brett Kressley, and Jax Yohn along with over three dozen drivers looking to score a feature win.
The Low Down Throw Down match races for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds, which were lost to the weather last Saturday, have been rescheduled for Saturday, August 1.
The next big event on the schedule is on Saturday, July 18, which will be Back to the 90’s Night sponsored by T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment, featuring just $10 grandstand admission for a complete show of T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman, along with the Dave Smith Memorial race for the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars starting at 7:30 pm.
