AUSTIN, Texas (May 14, 2025) – TPC Racing brings a Texas Two-Step of entries to this weekend’s USA Porsche Sprint Challenge North America by Yokohama doubleheader at Circuit of The Americas (COTA) with Masters Class entries in both the top-tier Type 992 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup division and the Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport series.

Returning Porsche Sprint Challenge Champion David Williams, the 2023 “Am” Porsche Sprint Challenge 992 Champion, is back after taking last year off to focus on his business following the title-winning campaign.

The Am division is now basically the Masters Class, but the victorious results are just the same for Williams. He won the very first race of the 2025 in his No. 237 Quality Brand Group/TPC Racing Porsche 911 GT3 Cup at Sebring International Raceway in March and heads to COTA in early-season contention for the championship. Williams is currently second in the 992 Masters standings, just 58 points out of the lead, 222 – 164.

Williams backed up Friday’s win at the Sebring opener with a third-place Masters showing in the race weekend’s second sprint. He persevered through a literally hard-hitting pair of races in the year’s second race weekend at Sonoma Raceway last month for a top Masters finish of sixth.

Tom Kerr carries the TPC Racing flag in the competitive Porsche Sprint Challenge Cayman class and returns to COTA for his second race weekend of the year following a breakout performance in the Sebring opener.

Kerr scored a career-best sixth-place Masters finish in the Sebring weekend’s second and final Porsche Sprint Challenge Cayman race in his No. 74 Got Veins?/TPC Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport. The sixth-place run topped Kerr’s previous career best finish of seventh at Road America in 2024.

Following Thursday’s unofficial testing and opening official practice Friday, qualifying for all series and classes takes place Friday afternoon.

Saturday features the first of the weekend’s twin Porsche GT3 Cup races and a same-day doubleheader for Cayman competitors. The Cayman opener begins the racing at 8:40 a.m. CDT with the day’s second and weekend’s final GT4 RS sprint set to go green at 2:45 p.m. CDT.

In between the Cayman rounds is the first Porsche GT3 Cup race Saturday at 12:05 p.m. CDT. The second GT3 Cup race wraps up TPC Racing’s COTA weekend schedule on Sunday with a green flag at 8:15 a.m. CDT.

All weekend races are 35 minutes plus one lap in length. Visit http://www.porschesprint.com for results from every session and live timing and livestreaming of all the races.

Harris Levitas, TPC Racing Director of Race Operations: “TPC Racing team is looking forward to returning to Circuit of The Americas (COTA) where we have had some good success in the past. David Williams and Tom Kerr have both raced at COTA with us before, but it has been a couple of years since we ran in competition in Texas. David is in the early-season points race in the Porsche GT3 Cup Masters class and should be able to replicate some of his season-opening success we saw at Sebring on a COTA circuit he knows well. Tom is racing in his Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport for the first time since his great opening season run at Sebring. He has never driven better, and it is great to see all of his hard work at and away from the track begin to pay off. The TPC Racing team has been performing since the beginning of the season too, and I still can’t say enough about the great job they have been doing.”

Tom Kerr, Driver, No. 74 Got Veins?/TPC Racing Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport: “The last time I ran at COTA was with TPC Racing in Super Trofeo. That goes back a few years and was on a NASCAR race weekend. I had run in Porsche Cup races too a few years before that, but my most recent race there with TPC in the Lamborghini. I am looking forward to running the Cayman there because, honestly, it fits everywhere. The more I drive it, the more I love it, and it really brings every driver element that I prefer into play. The smaller size is just right, it is a well-balanced mid-engine design and brings a little extra horsepower in the GT4 RS configuration. The Cayman should be great on COTA, which is a track I personally love. I like running on a big Formula 1 track, using the F1 garages, all of the amenities, the run-off sections, just everything about it. It’s a destination track, the city is great, and I love going there and taking the whole experience in. My closest friend and my son, who is really my best friend, are coming to enjoy it all, and I feel very fortunate to just be able to take advantage of this opportunity.”
