The inaugural Thunder in the Mountains 200 was a game of strategy for the Mighty Modifieds with a sixth different winner standing in NASCAR victory lane.
Justin Bonsignore Leading The Charge To White Mountain Motorsports Park
Four-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore leads NASCAR’s oldest touring series back to White Mountain Motorsports Park this Sunday afternoon. Originally set for Saturday, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour White Mountain 200 will now be run on Sunday at 2:30 p.m., due to Mother Nature.
The Tour only has two prior stops at White Mountain, both during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Bonsignore picked up the win in the inaugural series stop at the track, and followed it up by finishing fifth in the second one.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (June 25, 2025) – NASCAR and White Mountain Motorsports Park have postponed this Saturday’s scheduled NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event one day to Sunday as a forecast for inclement weather impacts the area.
The race will now begin at 2:30 p.m. ET on Sunday, June 29.
The weather delays the Whelen Modified Tour’s return to White Mountain Motorsports Park following a five-year absence by a day. The Tour ran a pair of races at the track in 2020, won by Justin Bonsignore and Doug Coby.

For the first time in five seasons, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour is returning to White Mountain Motorsports Park in North Woodstock, New Hampshire, this Saturday for the running of the Thunder in the Mountains 200 (8 p.m. ET on FloRacing).
Saturday’s event, the sixth of the 2025 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season, marks just the third race for the series at the New Hampshire quarter-mile. The series first visited White Mountain during the 2020 season. Amid COVID-19 restrictions, Justin Bonsignore and Doug Coby each collected wins at the venue as race fans clamored for a return to normalcy.

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Justin Bonsignore had a perfect day Sunday at Riverhead Raceway.
Driving the No. 51 Phoenix Communications machine for Kenneth Massa Motorsports, Bonsignore was fastest in both NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice sessions on Father’s Day, then followed it up by capturing his first pole award of the season in qualifying.
