Track Talk – Northeastern Drivers’ Performance At New Hampshire

Here’s this week’s Track Talk, from northeastern correspondent, Lou Modestino.

Corey Heim won the Craftsman Truck at New Hampshire. Gio Ruggiero of Seekonk, MA took fourth while Corey LaJoie (originally from Norwalk, CT) ended up eighth. Mike Christopher of Plainville, CT ended up 13^th.Long Island, NY Star Patrick Emerling was not as lucky and the best he could do was to finish 28th.

In the Cup Series race on Sunday. Ryan Blaney won, with pole winner Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finishing fourth. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended up 14th.

Nice to see that NHMS had a big crowd on hand. Moving the event to a Play-off date from Mid-July was the right thing to do.

Team Penske Sends Playoff Wake-Up Call With New Hampshire Domination

LOUDON, N.H. – Ryan Blaney’s victory Sunday at New Hampshire Motor Speedway was a non-too subtle wake-up call for the rest of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoff field that Team Penske is up and ready to roll on another Cup championship.

The popular 2023 champ Blaney opened this three-race round of the 2025 Playoffs by leading 116 laps en route to his third victory of the season – resoundingly claiming that automatic bid into the championship’s Round of 8.

LOUDON, N.H. – “The Magic Mile” lived up to its name on a chilly morning as Tyler Rypkema scored a dramatic victory in the Mohegan Sun 100 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT) race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS). The event was marked by intense drafting battles and frequent cautions, with defending winner Justin Bonsignore fighting hard to maintain the lead in the closing laps, receiving aggressive bump drafts down the front straightaway by Rypkema.

LOUDON, N.H. – Team Penske Fords were fast in practice, fast in qualifying and fastest in the Mobil 1 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway when it counted Sunday afternoon with Ryan Blaney taking a .937-second victory over fellow Ford driver Josh Berry in the opening race of the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs’ Round of 12.

Justin Bonsignore Looks For Three Straight New Hampshire Wins
