WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Jimmy Ryan had gone two years without winning a Sportsman Modified race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway until he scored on July 31. The next win took just four weeks, but that’s only part of the story. The Shoreham, Vt., veteran’s win was the highlight of The Stove Depot Night on Saturday, August 28, and Troy Audet, Chris Murray, Austin McKirryher, Willie Rice, Kamden Duffy, and Cody Greene also visited the winner’s circle. WEST HAVEN, Vt. – The hot and humid weather turned into a hot night of dirt track racing action at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, August 21 as new sponsor 2nd Amendment Shooting Supplies of Brandon, Vt., presented the event. WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Elmo Reckner won big on an exciting night of dirt track racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, August 14, winning the Rutland Regional Medical Center “Healthcare Heroes Night” feature for the headline Sportsman Modified division. Other winners on the night included John Gosselin, Chris Murray, rookie Daryl Gebo, and Kamden Duffy. Hoard Authors Comeback Story at Devil’s Bowl Speedway

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Frank Hoard III was not sure if he was going to race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, May 22, right up until it was time for the Sportsman Modified feature race to begin. Just 30 laps later, though, he was standing in victory lane. Frank Hoard III earned his first win in two years by leading every lap of the 30-lap Sportsman Modified feature. Marty Kelly III closely trailed Hoard in heavy lapped traffic until the lone caution flag on lap 21. Hoard pulled away after the restart for the win. Hoard was involved in a major accident on opening night, May 1 (and has been rehabbing a back injury since), and drove his team’s backup car to the win.

Drellos starts title defense with a big win at Devil’s Bowl

WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Demetrios Drellos picked up right where he left off last year: On top at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The reigning Sportsman Modified champion opened the new season on Saturday, May 1, with a dominant win during a wildly unpredictable night presented by Mike’s Fuels of Bridport. A total of 118 racecars jammed the pit area and outer parking lot as a nice spectator crowd filtered in for the 2021 lid-lifter, and Drellos collected a whopping $3,200 for his victory in the race honoring the late Matt Bilodeau.
