The next win took just four weeks, but that’s only part of the story. Palmer, Hoard Top Double Feature Night at Devil’s Bowl Speedway
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – The hot and humid weather turned into a hot night of dirt track racing action at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, August 21 as new sponsor 2nd Amendment Shooting Supplies of Brandon, Vt., presented the event. Reckner Leads Parade of Underdogs to Open Big Weekend at Devil’s Bowl Speedway
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Elmo Reckner won big on an exciting night of dirt track racing at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, August 14, winning the Rutland Regional Medical Center “Healthcare Heroes Night” feature for the headline Sportsman Modified division. Other winners on the night included John Gosselin, Chris Murray, rookie Daryl Gebo, and Kamden Duffy. The third annual “Battle at the Bowl” Dirt Modified event was postponed a week by rain to Sunday, August 15 at 5:00 p.m., but a little wet weather certainly did not dampen the spirit of the event. Devil’s Bowl Speedway: Quick Unofficial Results – Monday, May 31
Adam Pierson dominated the Northeast Crate Nationals 100 until a late-arriving Vince Quenneville took command with 11 laps left. Pierson held the lead through 10 restarts during the 100-lap race, but Quenneville pulled to the outside after the final restart on lap 88, ran next to Pierson for a lap, and pulled away in the final circuits.
Devil’s Bowl Speedway Announces Crate Engine Disqualification
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Devil’s Bowl Speedway has announced that Super Stock competitor Andrew FitzGerald has been disqualified from his apparent victory on Saturday, May 22, and that penalties have been imposed. Hoard Authors Comeback Story at Devil’s Bowl Speedway
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Frank Hoard III was not sure if he was going to race at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, May 22, right up until it was time for the Sportsman Modified feature race to begin. Just 30 laps later, though, he was standing in victory lane. Frank Hoard III earned his first win in two years by leading every lap of the 30-lap Sportsman Modified feature. Marty Kelly III closely trailed Hoard in heavy lapped traffic until the lone caution flag on lap 21. Hoard pulled away after the restart for the win. Hoard was involved in a major accident on opening night, May 1 (and has been rehabbing a back injury since), and drove his team’s backup car to the win.

Drellos starts title defense with a big win at Devil’s Bowl
WEST HAVEN, Vt. – Demetrios Drellos picked up right where he left off last year: On top at Devil’s Bowl Speedway. The reigning Sportsman Modified champion opened the new season on Saturday, May 1, with a dominant win during a wildly unpredictable night presented by Mike’s Fuels of Bridport. A total of 118 racecars jammed the pit area and outer parking lot as a nice spectator crowd filtered in for the 2021 lid-lifter, and Drellos collected a whopping $3,200 for his victory in the race honoring the late Matt Bilodeau.
