The GM 604 “Crate Engine” appears to be the possible savior of the paved track’s Modifieds in the New England area. Cris Michaud of ACT and Tom Mayberry of PASS are banking on this at the 5/8-oval in Thompson, CT that they have leased from the Hoenig Family. In spite of just a under a half-dozen Mods equipped with this engine, they put on a good show at Mid-April’s annual New England Classic at NHMS.
National Corvette Museum Is A 2024 Blue Star Museum
BOWLING GREEN, KY, May 13, 2024 – The National Corvette Museum announced it will join museums nationwide in the Blue Star Museums initiative, a program that provides free admission to currently serving U.S. military personnel and their families this summer. The 2024 program will begin on Armed Forces Day, Saturday, May 18, 2024, and end on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024. NASCAR legend Richard Petty feels that this (point) system is “not right” and needs to be done away with, as he said on his X account: “I think NASCAR ought to do away with stage points altogether myself. Over 50 Historic Race Cars Expected at New England Racers Reunion May 4
LOUDON, NH: The annual New England Racers Reunion presented by Autopac Gallery is set to feature a variety of race cars and race motorcycles for outdoor display at the New England Racing Museum (922 NH Route 106, Loudon, NH) on Saturday May 4th. The event will showcase racing exhibits from the Ron Bouchard Museum, Fred Harbach Mobile Museum, Ollie Silva Mobile Museum and the Maine Vintage Race Car Association.
