Date: June 27–28, 2025

Location: Lakeville, CT

What: Local and visiting motorists should expect temporary traffic pattern changes and road closures in and around Lime Rock Park during the LIUNA 150 NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series weekend (June 27-28). To ensure safe and efficient access to the facility, Lime Rock Park, Connecticut State Police and local agencies have coordinated detailed ingress and egress plans for Friday, June 27, and Saturday, June 28.

Nick Hinkley Wins BIW Shipbuilders 100 at Wiscasset Speedway

After another unfortunate rainout last week, Wiscasset Speedway finally saw some clear skies on Saturday, allowing them to host a full Group 1 racing program. Featured on the day’s schedule were the Gosline Insurance Group Super Streets, Davis Erector Group 207 Crate Modifieds, Brackett’s Market 4-Cylinder Pros, Kennebec Equipment Rental Thunder 4 Minis and one of the biggest Pro Stock races of the year, the $3,000-to-win BIW Shipbuilders 100.

Kimball Tops MRS Main, Hagar Wins Super Streets At Claremont

The Watertown, Connecticut driver made a late pass in the Big Game Motorsports #2 to claim the $12,000 prize on Night #1 of the Premier Chevy Dealers Clash featuring the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws. J Kinder won his third feature of the season and the twelfth of his career here in the Pro Sprints class.

(Stafford Springs, CT)—Stafford Speedway hosted the Casella Waste SK 80 on Friday, June 13th with Michael Christopher, Jr. taking home the Casella Waste hardware for a second consecutive season. In 2024, Christopher won the race as an Open Modified 80 event and this season as an SK Modified® event. The victory is Christopher’s first of the 2025 season and extends his recent string of success in extra distance, big money events.

How Did New England Drivers Do South Of The Border… Other Notes

Shane Van Gisbergen won the first Cup race at Mexico City. Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 15^th while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT finished in 21st position.

Daniel Suarez won the Mexico City Xfinity race before a cheering crowd. Kris Wright came in 17^th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT was 21st. Kris Wright drives the Chris and Mary Our entry. The father and daughter team owners reside on Cape Cod and receive their mail in Chatham, MA.

Note: It was nice to be able to watch the F1 race in Montreal and the Indy Car race in E. St. Louis and the Le Mans Endurance race in France on TV over the weekend. Again, we have to let NASCAR know that it was not at all pleasant to miss the Amazon-Prime Mexico race because we could not find a way to receive the broadcast. Nor did I and the rest of the fans, along with some of the media, feel very pressured by the sanction to spend the extra money, beyond the cable TV charges, when in previous years, we did not have to make this payment.

Justin Bonsignore Breaks Record, Takes All-Time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Wins Lead at Riverhead Raceway

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. – Justin Bonsignore had a perfect day Sunday at Riverhead Raceway.

Driving the No. 51 Phoenix Communications machine for Kenneth Massa Motorsports, Bonsignore was fastest in both NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour practice sessions on Father’s Day, then followed it up by capturing his first pole award of the season in qualifying.

Prior to the Miller Lite Salutes Steve Park 200 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event won by Justin Bonsignore of Holtsville, four Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series events were contested at Riverhead Raceway Sunday afternoon. Among the highlights were second generation racer Frank Dumicich Jr. of East Quogue collecting a milestone 15th career victory in the 20-lap Super Pro Truck feature.
