Porsche race cars were a force to be reckoned with everywhere in professional sports car racing during the 2024 season. One for the record books, a Porsche car stood atop the podium in 50 different open competition races. Wins came from behind the wheel in the 963 prototype, the 911 GT3 R, and the 718 Porsche Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport at tracks across the country.

(October 14, 2024) – Fresh off the high of securing the Fanatec GT World Challenge America championship title and winning the Indianapolis 8 Hour, Wright Motorsports entered Petit Le Mans with high expectations for a strong finish to the season. Unfortunately, their hopes of celebrating on the podium at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta were shattered in the final hour. An incident with less than one hour remaining in the ten-hour IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race sidelined the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R with terminal damage. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (September 7, 2024) – Wright Motorsports made their triumphant return to victory lane on Saturday evening, clinching the Indianapolis 8 Hour race win and securing the GT World Challenge PRO championship. Drivers Adam Adelson, Elliott Skeer, and Laurin Heinrich delivered a near-flawless performance in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R, earning the first championship title for full-season drivers Adelson and Skeer in dramatic style. LAS VEGAS (September 4, 2024) – FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN SILVER LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX has confirmed Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli as a support race when the highly anticipated event returns November 21–23. The addition of the Ferrari Challenge series to the racing schedule means ticketed fans will now see two racing series speed down the iconic Las Vegas Strip during the Las Vegas Grand Prix race weekend.

BIRMINGHAM, AL., (September 3, 2024) — Eight years have passed since SRO America last held an event at Barber Motorsports Park and this weekend, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America returns to Birmingham, Alabama for the penultimate event of the 2024 season. The competition will intensify at the picturesque circuit as Wright Motorsports aims to keep a tight grasp on the PRO-class championship point lead with the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R.
“It’s great to be returning back to Barber,” said Team Owner John Wright. “Not only is the facility beautiful, but it offers some great racing as well.
