Sunday’s washout at the Bristol Circus Maximus resulted in NASCAR rescheduling both the NASCAR Pinty Truck race and the Cup event to Monday.  Martin Truex, Jr. ended up the winner in the Trucks while Parker Kligerman of Stamford, CT ended the day in 18th place with Brett Moffit driving Cape Cod’s Chris Hour entry, who resides in Harwich, MA, to a disappointing 24th.

Track Talk:  Phoenix Results for Drivers With New England Connections

Austin Cindric took Saturday’s Xfinity race at Phoenix. Bret Moffit came in ninth driving Cape Cod’s Chris Our entry, and Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT placed 15th.

In Sunday’s Cup race at PIR, Martin Truex, Jr. was the winner, and Joey Logano of Middletown, CT settled for another runner-up spot.  Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended up 26th.  Corey LaJoie, son of two-time Xfinity Series Champion Randy LaJoie (a Norwalk, CT native), was 27th after leading the grind in the early going!  Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT had another bad day crashing out and placing 37th.

The NASCAR Circus moves to the Atlanta Motor Speedway next weekend.

Sunday’s Cup race at Vegas saw Kyle Larson take down the win while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended up 9th with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT came in 15th, Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT was 24th then Corey Lajoie, son of two-time Xfinity titlist Randy Lajoie of Norwalk, CT, went out early on due to an accident and ended the day in 37th place.

Homestead Results Not Good for Drivers With New England Connections

Drivers with New England connections didn’t fare well in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup race at Homestead, FL. Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece led the tally coming in 21st, Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 24th, former Cup Champion Joey Logano of Middletown,  CT placed 25th while Corey LaJoie, son of two-time Xfinity champion Randy Lajoie of Norwalk,CT ended up 36th.

They all get another chance next weekend when the NASCAR crowd performs at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
