SECOND SEASON: Ty Gibbs is competing in his second full NASCAR Cup Series season driving the No. 54 He Gets Us Toyota Camry XSE for Joe Gibbs Racing. He has 11 top-10 and seven top-five finishes and is 15th in points which qualified him for the NASCAR Playoffs for the first time.
LAPS LED: He has led 352 laps this season, which is the most he has led in any Cup season.
FIRST: In May at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Gibbs scored his first career pole position in the Cup Series. He second pole position was won on July 13 at Pocono Raceway. (more…)

The way it started is the way it ended in the points battle for the C.A. Miller Limited Late Models and the Peanuts Auto Four Cylinders.
HUDSON, N.H. — Jimmy Renfrew, Jr.’s second career Granite State Pro Stock Series win was a long time coming, but on Sunday afternoon at Hudson Speedway, the young racer claimed it at last.

We saw a pretty good race at Pocono and as I said last week, put your wager on an existing winner and probably a Joe Gibbs Racing team.
So I got it half right.
With his first win of the season, Christopher Bell made it increasingly hard for Kevin Harvick to make the playoffs. Bell has been a contender in several races this season but just hasn’t had the car or strategy to pull it off. This time was different. (more…)
