DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The TireRack.com Monterey SportsCar Championship at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca serves as the first two-hour, 40-minute standard length sprint race of the 2025 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season.
A total of 36 cars are set to compete across Grand Touring Prototype (GTP) and the two GT classes, Grand Touring Daytona Pro (GTD PRO) and Grand Touring Daytona (GTD). The GTP car count stays at 11 for a second straight race, alongside 10 GTD PRO and 15 GTD cars. The race is Round 4 of the year for GTP and GTD, while GTD PRO is back for Round 3 for the first time since the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring in March.

Leading the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour invaders is defending champion and current point leader Gabe Brown. Brown is coming off a first career win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on April 19 and has made increasing gains at the Nation’s Site of Excitement. The #47NH posted a third-place finish in last year’s Community Bank 150 and qualified with a fast time to earn the Booth Brothers Pole Award in October’s Vermont Milk Bowl. The Center Conway, New Hampshire-driver is looking to nab his first career Thunder Road victory while cementing his place at the top of the leaderboard in the Milton CAT standings.

(April 27, 2025) ― 2024 TA Champion Paul Menard earned his second win of the season in the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli, leading every lap of a close and competitive race at Sonoma Raceway. Menard was challenged fervently by three-time TA Champion Chris Dyson, who was anxious for redemption after a crash in Sebring kept him out of the seat for Round 2 at Road Atlanta. However, despite Dyson’s valiant efforts, Menard took the checkered flag with a narrow 0.291-second margin of victory.

BRASELTON, Georgia (April 27, 2024) – Starting from the pole and maintaining control throughout the 90-minute race, Pierce Marshall and Eric Foss co-drove the Matador Motorsports 2017 No. 02 Cadillac DPi to their first HSR Prototype Challenge presented by Michelin victory late Saturday afternoon at the 47th HSR The Mitty presented by Hagerty.
Opening driver Marshall led the field to the start from the pole and built an early lead despite a full-course caution at the 10-minute mark. Foss later took over and further gapped the field in the final run to the finish, only to see a late caution once again close up the field.
