Kyle Ellwood of Riverhead notched his second NASCAR Modified victory of 2025 when he passed John Beatty Jr. of Merrick with twenty laps remaining in Saturday’s 50-lap feature event at Riverhead Raceway. Beatty would have the last laugh though when he sewed-up his third consecutive NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Modified championship with his runner-up finish. Beatty joins Charlie Jarzombek (1976-1978) and Don Howe (1993-1995) as the only drivers to earn three Modified championships in succession.

Jon Armstrong claimed a maiden FIA European Rally Championship victory by winning JDS Machinery Rali Ceredigion to boost his outside title hopes.
Armstrong, co-driven by Shane Byrne, produced an impressive drive across 12 challenging Welsh asphalt stages, including a wet final two tests, to take the victory from M-Sport team-mate Romet Jürgenson by 29.2sec. Wiscasset Speedway returned to action on Saturday night with an action-packed Group 2 program that included the lightning-fast NEMA Midgets and NEMA Lites.
The racing action kicked off with the first of two 30-lap features for the Portland Glass Strictly Streets. Brady Romano took off with the early lead, but trouble was on the horizon as Scott Eck and Landon Tapley collided, resulting in a caution. Romano remained strong on the restart but Ben Burgess was on the move, overtaking the lead on lap 10 as Joe Harriman followed in succession. Burgess maintained command following a mid-race restart, picking up his second win of the season in the division. Joe Harriman and Chuck Wagstaff (1st career podium) followed, completing the top 3.
