Holland, N.Y. – (July 27, 2025) – Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, N.Y., captured a hard-fought and emotional victory in the Transitowne 100 on Saturday night at his home track, Holland Speedway, with the Race of Champions Modified Series.

Emerling battled throughout the race with Jake Lutz of Hamburg, N.Y., eventually taking the lead and holding off Lutz in a thrilling run to the checkered flag. The win marked the 25th career Race of Champions Series victory for the Western New York native.

Chemung, N.Y. – (July 19, 2025) – Zack Curren of Horseheads, N.Y., delivered a powerful and emotional performance on Saturday night at Chemung Speedrome, capturing the win in the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series “Tribute to Ed McGuire 51.” Curren competed in a tribute car honoring his friend, Connor Sellars, who passed away unexpectedly earlier this year.

The annual event honors Ed McGuire, a longtime competitor and car owner in the Southern Tier racing community. It has become a cherished tradition at Chemung Speedrome.

(July 12, 2025) – Practice and qualifying have concluded for the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli’s CUBE 3 Architecture TA2 Series race at Watkins Glen International. 14-year-old Tristan McKee in the No. 28 Spire/Gainbridge/SLR-M1 Chevrolet Camaro set the fastest time, earning his first-career pole award and setting a new track record of 1:49.077. McKee currently leads the series point standings, in addition to the Rookie of the Year and Young Gun Award rankings.

Teen Tristan McKee Scores First Trans Am Win

In just his eighth career TA2 start, 14-year-old McKee became the second-youngest winner in series history at 14 years, 10 months and 19 days. Only Brent Crews, who won the June 2022 race at Road America at the age of 14 years, three months and four days, was younger.

McKee qualified second and went on to lead all 42 laps of the 75-minute race, beating three-time TA2 champion Rafa Matos across the finish line by a margin of 2.088 seconds. It was McKee’s fourth consecutive podium result and extended his lead atop the TA2 driver championship at the halfway point of the season.

Justin Bonsignore Scores Record-Breaking 12th Riverhead Victory On Whelen Modified Tour

RIVERHEAD, N.Y. — Growing up a race fan on Long Island, Justin Bonsignore was drawn to fellow Long Islander Mike Ewanitsko.

Ewanitsko was a dominant force at Riverhead Raceway, now the only race track on Long Island, winning 11 times with the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour at the quarter-mile bullring.

For years, no one could claim to be on the same level as Ewanitsko in Modified Tour competition at Riverhead. Now Bonsignore can say he’s surpassed him.
