NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour car owner Steve Mendoza, and five-time Riverhead Raceway NASCAR Tour Type Modified champion Tom Rogers Jr. of Riverhead announced Tuesday morning they are joining forces for the Miller Lite Salutes Wayne Anderson 200 WMT event Saturday May 18th. The event celebrates the 30th anniversary of Wayne Anderson’s 1994 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour championship.

Steve Letarte Believes William Byron Was Promoted Too Early

William Byron has been in the NASCAR scene since 2015. Still, it seems that his career has been pretty much fast-tracked. He debuted in the Truck Series in 2015, with a full-time debut in 2016. A year later, he had his full-time Xfinity Series debut, grabbing four wins and the title. Then in 2018, he moved up once again, this time to the Cup Series, and has been racing there ever since. Interestingly, according to former Hendrick Motorsports crew chief Steve Letarte from Cornish, ME, the 24-year-old may have moved too early.

With the help of two wins Kressley has 1411 points while defending champion, 11 times in fact, Craig Von Dohren has 1409 counters and has done it without benefit of a win but has had consistent performances. BECHTELSVILLE, PA. May 9, 2021. Ma Nature smiled on Grandview Speedway Saturday night and allowed a Mom’s Night NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series tripleheader to be completed with Duane Howard battling with Jesse Leiby in the T.P. Trailers 358 NASCAR 30-lap Modified feature beginning on the 15th lap. The veteran campaigner tried to dive underneath the rookie and later attempted the outside trek, but each attempt failed. Finally on the 22nd lap, the six-time point champion got past Leiby and went on to take the win. (more…)
