Richard Savary of Canton has confined his racing efforts to the Tri Track Open Modified Series. On August 12 Richard raced at the New London-Waterford Speed Bowl in CT where he got a fifth place in a field of 33! ” I started 19th and raced my way up to sixth at lap 50. A yellow came out for a spin. I pitted and came out 13th. Then we raced our way up to fifth then the rain came and ended the race. I really feel that we had a top three car. We raced in five races this year and have four top fives.”
The Cruise nights are still very busy with events held at Cobbs Corner in Canton, MA every Tuesday night at 5 p.m. September 7 and 21 then October 5 and 19, it’s Cruise Night at Patriot Place in Foxborough, MA. On alternate Thursday nights there’s also Cruise Nights at the Brewster Ambulance Garage in Brockton on Rt. 28. On Friday nights there’s Trinity Episcopal Chruch at the foot of Big Blue in Canton which will end on 9/1/23.

The 49th Old Timers Ty- Rods will take place on Sunday 9/10/23 at the Lancaster (MA) Fair Grounds from 9 am to 4 pm. Closer to home is the Great Pumpkin Classic Car Show on 10/8/23 at the Whitman-Hanson (MA) High School.
The Norwood Arena Speedway 75th Anniversary at the Norwood Space Center at 83 Morse St. in Norwood, MA from 4-7 pm on Saturday, 9/23/23. The NORWOOD ARENA – THE MOVIE will be shown at 7:30 pm. Also, the Westboro Speedway Reunion will take place at Julio’s Liquors on Rt. 9 in Westboro, MA on Sunday afternoon 10/01/23.
