Andrés Pérez de Lara Confirmed for ‘The Chilango 150’ NASCAR Xfinity Series Race, Backed by Telcel – Infinitum

Mexico will have a local representative in the most anticipated NASCAR Xfinity Series weekend of the year. Young driver Andrés Pérez de Lara has been confirmed to compete on Saturday, June 14, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in the highly awaited race, “The Chilango 150.”

The 20-year-old Mexican driver will be one of the standout figures in the return after a 17-year absence of the Xfinity Series to Mexico City. A full-time competitor in the NASCAR Truck Series, Andrés will take advantage of a break in his schedule to race in front of his home crowd on the track where he grew up as an athlete.

This race not only marks his official debut in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, but also establishes him as the sole local driver representing Mexico in front of thousands of fans and under the eyes of the world.

Pérez de Lara will compete with DGM Racing, a family-run team based in Lake Wales, Florida, led by Mario and Michelle Gosselin since 1990. DGM Racing currently fields two full-time cars in the Xfinity Series and has recorded 42 Top-10 finishes and more than 240 Top-20 results going into the 2025 season.

For this historic race, Andrés will be backed by Telcel and Infinitum as his primary sponsors, supporting this exciting new chapter in the young driver’s career and reaffirming their commitment to fostering Mexican talent in international motorsports.

With this participation, Pérez de Lara joins the ranks of iconic drivers such as Adrián Fernández, Jorge Goeters, and Michel Jourdain—Mexican racers who have also had the honor of competing in a national NASCAR series event at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez.

This event marks the long-awaited return of the NASCAR Xfinity Series to Mexico, strengthening the international expansion of the category and giving Mexican fans the rare opportunity to witness top-level NASCAR competition in their own country.
