
August 14, 2025 Springfield, IL-A solid Allen Crowe 100 entry list is on tap for Sunday’s ARCA Menards Series event at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. The entries feature the current ARCA point leader and eight others in the top ten, several veterans and nine series rookies plus four drivers from the home state. The 62nd ARCA-Allen Crowe 100 starts at 1.pm. Sunday on the historic Springfield Mile.
Point leader Brenden Queen is the ARCA Menards Series point leader with 5 wins and 3 poles in 13 starts. He has never raced on one of the two mile dirt tracks on the ARCA schedule. Neither has second place driver Alan Lawless, with one win and one pole in 13 starts. Third sitting Lavar Scott finished 6th at Springfield a year ago and has 12 top 10 finishes on the 2025 campaign. Jason Kitzmiller is fourth, Michael Maples (13th in 2024) is seventh, Brayton Laster (18th in 2024) is eighth.
Isabella Rubusto, fifth in the standings was a strong second on the Springfield Mile in 2024 and stands poised to become the first female winner of the Allen Crowe 100. Sixth place Alex Clubb (16th in 2024) fields two cars for the Allen Crowe 100. Tenth place Brad Smith is seeking his 22nd Allen Crowe 10 start, the first coming in 1988.
Series rookie Brent Crews will be a driver to watch. Crews has a variety of racing experiences including on the dirt scoring a victory last year at DuQuoin. He has 2 wins and with poles in six 2025 starts.
Springfield’s own Kelly Kovski has victories as crew chief with Justin Allgaier, crew chief and owner with Grant Enfinger. Kovski has 17 Allen Crowe 100 starts and has 11 top 10 finishes on the Springfield Mile. Centralia’s Joe Cooksey returns to the ARCA series with 145 starts under his belt including 16 in the Allen Crowe 100. Elmhurst’s Tim Monroe returns with the Hillenburg operation and looks for his fifth Crowe 100 start. Alex Clubb of Morris is the other driver from the Prairie State.
It’s all part of a huge weekend of racing in Central Illinois that opens on Friday, August 15 with MOWA Sprint cars at Lincoln Speedway before going to the Springfield Mile on Saturday, August 16 for USAC Silver Crown and Sportsman and then returning Sunday, August 17 for the ARCA Menards Series and the Sportsman Nationals.
