FLORENCE, S.C.: Chad Bryant Racing’s Treyten Lapcevich put on a clinic Saturday night at Florence (S.C.) Motor Speedway holding off a hungry pack of challengers, including Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Doug Barnes Jr. to win the prestigious South Carolina 400.
The Canadian-born driver, who also has dual Canadian-American citizenship and drives under the Allrem Racing program, made history on Saturday night by winning that race.
Three-time NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour champion Justin Bonsignore is not only racing in Saturday’s Mohegan Sun 100 – of which he is the defending winner – but he is also making his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut in the SciAps 200 piloting the No. 19 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota.

Twenty-five Foley Oil & Propane Late Models from across the twin states of New Hampshire and Vermont converged to help get the 31st season of White Mountain started in style following last week’s unfortunate rainout. Welcome back race fans! Long time to be away from racing. As many of you know, the Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona is the kickoff to the season for me but I have to admit my attention was elsewhere a lot of this young season. After watching qualifying for the 500, I pretty much missed the Duels for the first time in forever.
There have been a fair amount of changes this year leaving me to question just how good the racing was going to be.
