(26 October 2025) — The morning fog had barely lifted over the Berkshire foothills on Saturday when the first wave of Mazda Miatas rolled into Lime Rock Park for MiataCon. Soon the infield was packed with pink, black, red, silver, yellow, blue, green, purple and dozens of custom Miatas, more than 400 of them, all parked bumper to bumper beneath the fall-turned maples that surround B Paddock.

Goodyear Racing Notes – Phoenix Raceway

NASCAR Goodyear TiresNASCAR Cup Series teams will run a familiar Goodyear Racing Eagle tire setup at this weekend’s Championship Race, though it will mark the first time these tires have run at Phoenix Raceway.

After racing the prime and option tire setups at Phoenix in March, the Cup Series returns to a single tire specification for the season finale on the 1-mile dogleg oval. This tire setup has previously been used at several short tracks this year, most recently at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in September. The right-side tire also ran last weekend at Martinsville Speedway, paired with a new left-side tire.

MARTINSVILLE, Va.—With a heroic, gloves-off drive on Sunday in the crucible that is Martinsville Speedway, William Byron earned a shot at the NASCAR Cup Series title and simultaneously saved the rest of the Championship 4 field from its worst nightmare.

Byron led three times for 304 laps—a career best for a single race—and beat Ryan Blaney to the finish line by 0.717 seconds after a restart with 11 laps left to win the Xfinity 500 elimination race under most exigent circumstances.
