Sabo and Lee Back in GT World Challenge America for Fourth Season With Flying Lizard

PHOENIX, Ariz., (March 21, 2025) – With the start of the 2025 SRO America season rapidly approaching, Flying Lizard Motorsports has announced the return of Elias Sabo and Andy Lee to the 2025 Fanatec GT World Challenge America powered by AWS, continuing their pursuit of success in the No. 8 5.11 Tactical BMW M4 GT3. The duo will once again take on the competitive Pro-Am class, building on their strong performances from the previous seasons. Sabo has also added a second car to the program this season and will compete in the No. 80 5.11 Tactical BMW M4 GT3 in the GT America series. (more…)

Wright Motorsports Petit Le Mans Podium Hopes Dashed in Final Hour Incident

BATAVIA, Ohio. (October 14, 2024) – Fresh off the high of securing the Fanatec GT World Challenge America championship title and winning the Indianapolis 8 Hour, Wright Motorsports entered Petit Le Mans with high expectations for a strong finish to the season. Unfortunately, their hopes of celebrating on the podium at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta were shattered in the final hour. An incident with less than one hour remaining in the ten-hour IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship race sidelined the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R with terminal damage. INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., (September 7, 2024) – Wright Motorsports made their triumphant return to victory lane on Saturday evening, clinching the Indianapolis 8 Hour race win and securing the GT World Challenge PRO championship. Drivers Adam Adelson, Elliott Skeer, and Laurin Heinrich delivered a near-flawless performance in the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R, earning the first championship title for full-season drivers Adelson and Skeer in dramatic style. The GT World Challenge race victory was the second endurance win in a row for the Wright team. Wright Motorsports Prepared for Battle at Barber

BIRMINGHAM, AL., (September 3, 2024) — Eight years have passed since SRO America last held an event at Barber Motorsports Park and this weekend, the Fanatec GT World Challenge America returns to Birmingham, Alabama for the penultimate event of the 2024 season. The competition will intensify at the picturesque circuit as Wright Motorsports aims to keep a tight grasp on the PRO-class championship point lead with the No. 120 Porsche 911 GT3 R.

“It’s great to be returning back to Barber,” said Team Owner John Wright. “Not only is the facility beautiful, but it offers some great racing as well.
