ARCA Menards Series Competitors Seek To Conquer The Monster Mile

The first of four combination events the ARCA Menards Series East shares with the national division to close out 2025 begins this weekend at Dover Motor Speedway, a facility that has more than earned its moniker as ‘The Monster Mile’.

Despite being a mile in length, what separates Dover from other similar facilities is its corners banked at 24 degrees. Precision and care are imperative to navigate the self-cleaning banking, as one wrong move could end not only one driver’s day, but several others attempting to avoid the chaos. (more…)

Loudon, NH — Unseasonably warm weather greeted New England race fans at the Magic Mile on Saturday morning for the 5th annual Northeast Classic at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Although the radar made officials sweat, Mother Nature couldn’t stop the efforts of the Milton CAT American-Canadian Tour and Pro All Stars Series one week after she threw a snowstorm through the area!

NHMS EVP/GM David McGrath Excited for 2025 NASCAR Playoffs Weekend at “The Magic Mile”

New Hampshire Motor Speedway will host the NASCAR Cup and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series during the Sept. 19-21, 2025 NASCAR Playoffs weekend, which will also feature the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour.

LOUDON, N.H. – New Hampshire Motor Speedway (NHMS) Executive Vice President and General Manager David McGrath spoke to media Thursday following NASCAR’s 2025 schedule announcement, which includes a Sept. 19-21 visit to NHMS by the NASCAR Cup Series (NCS), NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) and NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour (NWMT).

The 2025 NCS race at NHMS will kick off the Round of 12 on Sunday, Sept. 21 while the NCTS race will join the Mohegan Sun 100 NWMT race on Doubleheader Saturday, Sept. 20 and serve as a Round of 10 cutoff race to solidify the Round of 8.

Chase Briscoe won the Cup Race while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT came up with a very respectful eighth place and Corey LaJoie took down ninth place with Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT earning a 12th.  Not so fortunate was Boston’s Kaz Grala who placed 24th.  Note that Corey LaJoie is the son of Randy La Joie of Norwalk, CT who was a two-time NASCAR Xfinity Champion,

Harrison Burton won the Cup race at Daytona while Joey Logano of Middletown, CT ended his night in 31st.  Also  Corey LaJoie did even worse with a 34th position and Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT ended up 39th going out early in that race.  LaJoie is the son of two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT before moving to the Charlotte, NC area.

Layne Riggs Captures First Truck Series Win at Milwaukee Mile

For the second-straight day, a second-generation rising NASCAR racing star earned his first-career win. This time it was 22-year-old Layne Riggs claiming the NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series victory in Sunday’s Playoff-opening LiUNAI 175! at the historic Milwaukee Mile.

Riggs, son of former NASCAR competitor Scott Riggs, took the lead from Ty Majeski with 53 laps remaining and pulled away to a solid 1.547-second victory over the Wisconsin native and a super-motivated group of Playoff drivers, making the rookie driver’s effort all the more impressive. (more…)
