It took a long time for a team driving a Radical sports racer to win the 25 Hours of Thunderhill Presented by Hawk Performance. The first time that happened was in 2019, and since there was no 25 Hour in 2020, the 2021 event marks the second consecutive time a team running a Radical SR3 has won the grueling 25-hour event. No one is surprised that after announcing his retirement from MotoGP at 42, the Italian Valentino Rossi continue competing in motorsports. MOORESVILLE, N.C. (Dec. 1, 2021) –Miguel Paludo will return to JR Motorsports for three NASCAR Xfinity Series road course events in 2022. Paludo, a seven-time champion and current defending winner of the Porsche Carrera Cup, will drive the No. 88 BRANDT Professional Agriculture Chevrolet in the NXS races at Circuit of the Americas (March 26), Road America (July 2) and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway Road Course (July 30). The 2021 racing season came to an end at Riverside Speedway and Adventure Park, as The Town and Country Motor Inn, Gorham, New Hampshire hosted the gala which featured close to 250 racers, crew members, race fans, sponsors, media and Track officials.
In sprint racing, the strategy is simple: Start as far forward as you can and improve your position from there until the checkered flag waves.
In endurance racing, there are a lot more factors in play, and someone on the team needs to put them all together to form a comprehensive strategy the whole team understands. Everything from pit stops and driver changes to tire changes and fueling strategies come into play — especially when the checkered flag is 25 hours away. (more…)
Nashville, TN (Wednesday, November 17, 2021) – For six drivers, in two divisions, a season’s worth of effort comes down to one final race – this Saturday’s Quarter Mile Track Championships at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway (NFS). Only eight points separate the top three drivers in the Limited Late Model division and miraculously, only three points is the gap between first and third in the BH Holmes Construction Legends Car division. Street Stocks, Pure Stocks, Front Runners, and Bandoleros have championships to be settled as well, and it all takes place at 2:00pm on Saturday afternoon.
