How Did New England-Connected Drivers Do This Past Weekend?

Joey Logano of Middletown, CT won the first ever Cup race at E. St. Louis, Il  on Sunday.  Parker Kligerman of Westport CT wasn’t as fortunate and came in 31st and faring even worse was Corey LaJoie who ended up 36th.  Corey’s father is Randy LaJoie who won two NASCAR Xfinity Championships and is from Norwalk, CT.

How about Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield CT winning the pole for the Xfinity race at the Portland, OR road course.   A J Almendinger ended up the winner of that one.  Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our’s triple car team had Brett Moffit in 20th at the finish, Alfredo 31st and Jeb Burton in 33rd.  The Our family reside in Harwich, MA.
At the Indy Car race on Bell Isle, MI Will Power won it with Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, Ct finishing 21st.  The NHRA National at New England Dragway in Epping NH had sellout crowds on Saturday and Sunday!  Bob Tasca of Hope, RI ended his day in 11th place in the Funny Car action.
