Over 60 Cars Turn Laps in Lincoln Speedway Fall Nationals Practice

(Lincoln, IL) — More than 60 competitors took to the ¼-mile dirt oval Thursday night for open practice, kicking off the 2025 DIRTcar Fall Nationals weekend at Lincoln Speedway. Perfect weather and a smooth, fast racetrack greeted teams as they tuned up for two big nights of racing action.

Bloomington, Illinois’ Jason Feger, the 2025 DIRTcar Super Late Model National Champion, topped the charts in Thursday’s session with a blistering lap of 12.638 seconds, proving he’ll be a favorite when the green flag drops Friday night.

In the DIRTcar Pro Late Models, local favorite Brandon Sweitzer of Lincoln, Illinois paced the field with a 14.125. Mason City’s Brian Lynn, the 2025 Lincoln Speedway Modified Track Champion, was quickest among DIRTcar Modifieds with a 14.264. In Pro Modified competition, Kyle Helmick of Smithton, Illinois led the way at 14.992 seconds.

Friday’s action will feature all four divisions — DIRTcar Super Late Models, Pro Late Models, Modifieds, and Pro Mods — as the first night of Fall Nationals racing gets underway. Hotlap/qualifying will begin at 6:00 PM, followed by racing around 7:00 PM.

Grandstand gates open at 4:00 PM, with pit gates opening earlier in the afternoon. Tickets and pit passes will be available at the gate upon arrival. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to grab the best seats for what’s shaping up to be one of the biggest weekends of the year at Lincoln Speedway.

The weekend continues on Saturday night, featuring another full program of action for all four divisions, championship battles, and the crowning of this year’s DIRTcar Fall Nationals champions.
