Monaco Modifieds Return to Thompson Speedway for Midweek RaceChoice.com 75

Thompson, CT — The sights and sounds of Thompson Speedway are ready to return in earnest this Wednesday night, the first of six planned Wednesday night shows throughout the summer season, with the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series! The Monaco Modifieds will fight for the $10,000 main prize in the RaceChoice.com 75 along with supporting action from the six Thompson Speedway track championship divisions!

Twenty-seven ground pounding Monaco Modifieds are currently registered, as of press time Monday afternoon, for Wednesday’s RaceChoice.com 75. After taking a clean sweep in both the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series AND the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour during the 51st Icebreaker, Ron Silk leads the Monaco Modifieds back into Thompson in search of yet another 75-lap victory at the Big-T. Silk will have plenty of competition in his way. NASCAR Cup Series ringer and two-time Thompson Speedway track champion Ryan Preece makes his return and looks for his first Monaco Modified win in the RaceChoice.com #40.

Among the early entry list, tough competition through the likes of Jon McKennedy, Patrick Emerling, Ronnie Williams, Matt Swanson Keith Rocco, Teddy Hodgdon and Woody Pitkat are just the icing on the cake of drivers ready for midweek action at Thompson!

Defending champion Jon Puleo leads the way in the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds after a pair of hair-raising bouts with longtime powerhouse Todd Owen. Both are set to square off again Wednesday while Brian Tagg is looking for another Late Model track championship after taking the Icebreaker honors.

The SK Light Modifieds have had a strong start to the season with Nick Hovey leading the standings after an impressive Icebreaker showing and five rookies having started the season off strong! John O’Sullivan will be looking to best the young Hovey on Wednesday while the rookies chase Austin Goff for the freshman prize.

Al Stone III and ‘Leadfoot’ Larry Barnett are chasing Aaron Plemons in the Street Stocks while Dave Trudeau, Tim Dorr and rookie Bill Porter chase Andrew Krzeminski in the four-cylinder Mini Stock rankings. The fan-favorite Thunderstock Crown Vics also return after a popular Icebreaker debut!

Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park is back in action for the first of six midweek showdowns on Wednesday, May 14. Highlighted by the return of the Monaco Modified RaceChoice.com 75, May 14 will also include the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds, Late Models, SK Light Modifieds, Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Thunderstock Crown Vics!
