BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The competition has been close, fierce and highly exciting three weeks into the 2026 racing season at Grandview Speedway, with a mix of younger drivers and veterans setting the pace, and another two-division program is on the schedule for this Saturday night.
This Saturday, April 25 will be a two-division program of racing under the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts banner for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds and the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman. Each division will run qualifying races leading to the 30-lap Modified and 25-lap Sportsman main events.
Race time on Saturday night is 6 pm. Pit gates open at 3 pm, grandstand gates open at 4 pm, followed by warm-ups at 5 pm.
Grandstand admission for adults is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members, and $45 for non-members.
Saturday’s program will also feature the first Trivia night for the season, where fans can win prizes after correctly answering questions about Grandview Speedway racing. This is always a fun and very popular extra on the Saturday night race card!
In addition, this Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the weekly meet and greet, presented by Low Down Entertainment and hosted by Brittany Huber and Jennifer Umbenhauer. This week’s drivers who will be on hand with their cars to participate include Modified drivers Eddie Strada and Cody Manmiller, along with Sportsman driver Mark Behm.
The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 3:30 to 4:30 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway. Also included in the Meet & Greet will be Little Miss Grandview with crayons and coloring pages for the kids!
Three events into the new season there has yet to be a repeat feature winner in the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified division, picking right up from the 2025 season, which saw thirteen different drivers reach the winner’s circle.
One interesting fact to watch as the new-year unfolds is the definite emergence of the younger drivers who have really been making some noise, with Louden Reimert and Jared Umbenhauer scoring wins in the first two events, while Eddie Strada is currently leading the points chase, with Anthony Perrego and Brett Kressley also in the top five.
On the other hand, the veterans are well represented as Duane Howard scored the feature win last Saturday night, with Ryan Watt and Craig Von Dohren scoring top five finishes, while Rick Laubach and Jeff Strunk sit second and third in the point standings.
Only time will tell as the season unfolds, but it surely will be fun to watch the battles all season long between those drivers mentioned plus other top contenders including Tim Buckwalter, Mike Gular, Logan Watt, Brandon & Justin Grosso, Kyle Smith, Ryan & Justin Grim, Matt Yoder, Jax Yohn, Ryan Graver, Jim Housworth, and over three dozen drivers who will be in action trying to reach victory lane.
The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division has also seen three different winners in the first three events, following on the heels of the very competitive 2025 season, which saw twelve different drivers score a feature event win.
A slightly different pattern has developed here, as Brad Brightbill scored the Opening Night win which was his 13th (overall) career Grandview Sportsman win, followed by Bryce Bashore and Mike Toth who both scored their first ever Grandview Speedway victory.
These drivers will be back in action along with other top point drivers like Addison Meitzler, Joe Toth, Colin Cox, Jimmy Leiby, Adrianna Delliponti, TJ Mayberry, Matthew Laubach, Brett Gilmore, Brett Grim, Decker Swinehart, Gavyn Krupp, Joey Vaccaro, Ebby Ridge, Johnny Fugelo, Stephen Smith III and three dozen drivers who will be vying for the win this Saturday night.
The program scheduled for next Saturday, May 2 will feature the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman joined by the Keystone Sports Compact Series who are sponsored by Hoffman Speed Supplies/Hoffman Discount Parts in New Tripoli, Pa. This will be the first Saturday that the start time moves to 6:30 pm.
The second special event of the new season for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds is just around the corner on Saturday, May 9, with the presentation of TWIN 25-LAP FEATURES! The show will be Checkered Flag Fan Club night and include the usual slate of qualifying leading into the twin features, plus a full show for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman.
