On Saturday afternoon T. Fogelman ended up crossing the finish line first in NASCAR’s Camping World Truck Series. Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT wasn’t as fortunate as he ended up in trouble on the first lap and was scored as finishing 37th. Kligerman is also a color announcer at NASCAR races.
Later on Saturday at Talladega Brandon Brown won the Xfinity race. Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT placed 17th while Brett Moffitt ended his day with a 26th place. Moffitt drives a Xfinity entry for Cape Cod’s Chris Our who is a successful building contractor that lives in West Harwich, MA.
On the rescheduled YellaWood 500, due to Sunday’s rain at Talledega, AL to Monday afternoon. All that saw Bubba Wallace at the right place at the right time. He was declared the winner of that Super Speedway race after it was determined that that the it would take two hours or more to dry the track after a soaking rain storm. It was Wallace’s first ever win in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano came in third making him a major player in 2021 Cup Playoffs while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT finished tenth. Corey LaJoie ended his day in 22nd place. He’s the son of NASCAR Xfinity two-time Champion Randy Lajoie who grew up in Norwalk, CT. Having a very bad day was Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece who crashed out early and was given a 32nd place finish.
