How Did New England-Connected Drivers Do This Past Weekend?

Chase Elliott inherited the win in Sunday’s Cup race at Pocono after Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch were DQ’s for various infractions.

Corey LaJoie ended his day in 19th place.  Corey’s dad is the two-time Xfinity Champion Randy LaJoie who is a Norwalk CT native.  Finishing 20th was Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano.
Noah Gragson was the winner of the Xfinity Series race on Saturday.  Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield, CT came in 16th, Brett Moffitt placed 18th and Jeb Burton finished 33rd.  Alfredo, Moffitt and Burton all drive for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our’s Team who reside in Harwich, MA. Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury,CT ended up 35th.
Also, on Saturday the Camping World Track Series was in action at the Pennsylvania venue.  Chandler Smith won that one with Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece taking the runner-up spot while Boston’s Kaz Grala ended his day in 23rd.
