Christopher Bell won the NASCAR Cup Series race …
…. with Middletown, CT’s finishing up eighth while Berlin, CT’s Ryan Preece of came in 13th. Corey LaJoie ended his day in 20th place. Corey is the son of Two-Time Xfinity champion Randy LaJoie who lived in Norwalk, CT before moving south.
Sam Meyer turned out to be the top driver in the Xfinity race on the undercard at the Miami area track. Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT finished seventh with Kyle Weatherman ending up 16th while Anthony Alfredo of Ridgewood, CT took the 28th spot. Blaine Perkins was awarded 29th with Boston’s Kaz Grala coming home 30th. Weatherman and Perkins both drive team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who call Harwich, MA home.
