How New Englanders Did at NHMS in Front of a Home Town Crowd…

Chris Bell won Saturday’s Xfinity Series on the one-mile paperclip oval.  Brett Moffit finished a respectfully ninth place.  Moffit drives an Xfinity entry for Bay State team owner Chris Our who is a Cape Cod businessman from Harwich, MA.

In the Cup Series Aric Almirola took the win while Middletown, CT’s Joey Logano ended his day with a fourth place.  Ryan Preece of Berlin, CT placed 22nd, Corey LaJoie was 23rd.  Corey’s dad is two time Xfinity Series Champion Randy LaJoie who hails from Norwalk, CT while Ridgefield, CT’s Anthony Alfredo was 32nd.
Incidentally Ryan Preece won Saturday’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour 100 in front a of partisan crowd.
