LaJoie is the son of Randy LaJoie who is a native of Norwalk, CT.
Austin Hill won the Xfinity race and Parker Kligerman of Westport, CT came in ninth, Anthony Alfredo of Ridgefield CT finished 13th with Kaz Grala of Boston ending up 25th while Blaine Perkins was 27th. Perkins drives one of the team cars for Cape Cod’s Chris and Mary Our who live in Harwich, MA.
The NASCAR Trucks saw Kyle Busch take another victory in that series while Kaz Grala ended up 31st. Elsewhere Josef Newgarden won the Indy Car race at Iowa with Santino Ferrucci of Woodbury, CT was 22nd.
