
Thompson, CT — Officials with the American-Canadian Tour (ACT) and Pro All Stars Series (PASS) announced today the 2026 Schedule of Events for the 5/8-mile Thompson Speedway in Thompson, Connecticut. The ‘Quiet Corner of Connecticut’ will roar and rumble for ten can’t-miss events throughout 2026 including visits from the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and the Modified Racing Series!
It all kicks off with the 52nd Icebreaker weekend on April 11th and 12th with the annual open practice day for Icebreaker divisions on Friday, April 10th. Saturday, April 11th will feature the Monaco Modifieds alongside the Pro Truck Challenge and the start of the track championship season for the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds and the Thunderstock Crown Vics. The Sunoco Modifieds return on Sunday for an Icebreaker doubleheader along with the headlining NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Icebreaker 150 and the start of the season for the Late Models, SK Light Modifieds and Street Stocks.
Wednesday, May 13th brings the Midweek Modified Madness to the Thompson highbanks! Both the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds and the SK Light Modifieds will go the distance for increased purses to headline the show on May 13th. The opening Wednesday show is complete with the divisions that will call Thompson Speedway home in 2026 including the Late Models, Street Stocks and Thunderstock Crown Vics.

Both the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series and the Pro Truck Challenge Tour return to Thompson on Wednesday, June 24th while the New England Supermodified Series (NESS) headlines Winged Wednesday on July 8th.
The NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns for their annual midweek Thompson 150 special on August 5th while the Late Model Fall Showdown returns to headline the Wednesday, September 16th event with 50-laps the distance for the popular division.
The Sunoco World Series returns for the 64th year on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, October 9th through the 11th. The Modified Racing Series (MRS) is back at Thompson Speedway to headline Friday’s Sunoco World Series kick-off along with the STAR Antique Racers, the annual crowning of the Late Model champion and more. Saturday will see the special return of the Outlaw Open Modifieds plus the NESS Supermodifieds, Pro Trucks and the New England Pro-4 Modifieds among others.
Sunday, October 11th will see the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour crown their 2026 champion back in the State of Connecticut at Thompson Speedway following the season-ending Sunoco World Series 150. The NEMA Lites and track championship crowning of the SK Light Modifieds and Street Stocks also join Sunday’s exciting showcase.

Rulebooks for the five Thompson Speedway track championship divisions continue to be updated for the upcoming season with officials expecting to release the updated rules by Thanksgiving. Updated Number Registration forms are also available for teams online at https://www.thompsonspeedway.
